  1. Shimano clad chappy?? How very dare you?!
  2. Hi George, Some club goers might have jerseys that are surplus to requirement so ask around. Failing that, send a PM to Jannza. Mark
  3. Change of plan, going canoeing instead. Look on the bright side. At least you won't have to wait at the top of the climbs for me
  4. Never been over there on my steed. What's the hillage like? I hope there's plenty 30 signs so I can get all Cavendish on your asses!!!
  5. I've nothing to do tonight so heading out for a bit. Probably just do the Thursday night route or similar. Company welcome.
  6. It was tonight as well, caught the last 15 minutes. Cheers for the heads up Kenny.
  7. Yeah, great run tonight team. I really appreciate you guys waiting at the top of the clune for me. Altough I enjoy a good climb i'm just not exactly Lance Armstrong.
  8. Pirate. To attempt to ellaborate on what Charlie said. Their are different ability groups on Thursday. Fast and slow. I myself can keep the pace on the flat but when it goes uphill i'm pretty much always last to the top but (and i'm not blowing my own trumpet here) i'll give you a good run for your money sprinting for a 30 sign. Just like in the tour, you don't see Cav challenging Schleck up the Tourmalet or Schleck on Cav's wheel on the Champs-elysees. Come out on Thursday and if you're not sure about the chaingang just sit at the back and observe what goes on, most club members have been in your boat at some time.
  9. I've noticed a few posts relating to club runs recently with folk saying they can't keep this pace or that pace and I think the talk about pace is a bit of a grey area. Phrases like "brisk pace" or "moderate pace" may be totally different between riders. I just think it would be a good idea from now on if folks put an estimated average/maximum speed in with club run suggestions. I can manage upto about 22-23mph in a bunch relatively comfy any higher and I tend to miss a turn at the front. I think it's a good idea considering the amount of new members.
  10. I'd just like to say to the "30 milers" for coming on so well this year. Also, to Tony for coming up with the idea as well.
  11. Super idea. I fall into the "fast(er) pace but don't wanna race" category. Well, apart from the odd 30 sign sprint. My route planning skills however are not upto much or very adventurous. This is a great opportunity for those wanting to double their "30 miler" status. I for one wouldn't mind letting a club mate sit on my wheel to get a tow home for the last few miles to reach the magic half century.
  12. Sounds just like what myself and Ginty done on Saturday. Houston to Largs and back over the Brisbane glen. I forgot how much I like that climb. We had a great run until my saddle just about came off at Bishopton.
  13. I'm up for this. Wouldn't mind flat and fast if there's enough folk but as usual I'll go with the flow. I am an easy going chap after all.
  14. hhhmmmmmmm it appears i didnt actually think it through that much eh. I think its just because i was thinking of how much smaller the georgetown in to the A8.
  15. Ben has said on another post that there is to be a roundabout put on the Georgetown road. I'd think it would be where they are/have been building. I'm quite sure this would have the potential to ruin our TT nights there so i'm wondering if there is anything we can do to prevent this happening?
  16. I MIGHT be interested Kenny. Can I take first dibs until I get home from work to check my size please? I've also told Richard I might take his but I can't mind what size he has.
  17. Just kidding. I was wondering if any of you kind souls in the Joansin would sponsor me in doing the Corrieyairack challenge on the 2nd of July its an on and off road challenge over the Corrieyairack pass between Fort Augustus and Kincraig to raise money for the Badaguish outdoor centre in Aviemore. Any contribution much appreciated. You can sponsor via this link: http://www.justgiving.com/Mark-Logan Thanks guys n gals.
  18. Kudos on your 1st bunch run Fergus. Apologies to those that waited on the clune for me I'm a slow climber as it is without over training earlier in the week. Thanks to Charlie for pacing me up. On the plus side the sore legs are all but gone.
  19. Advice please. I done squats at the gym on Monday, was XC MTBing on Tuesday and still have tight hamstrings, should I come out tonight or not. I'm unsure of the recovery physiology.

I didn't hear from regarding going out which come to think about it wasn't like him.
  21. Doubt I'll be there. Going up to Fort William with of those mountain bike thingys so dunno when I'll be back.
  22. Might come out if that's alright (faster) guys? I'll be in it for the distance more than speed work.
  23. Apologies Ian, Carrie has some kind of master plan for our slabs. Needless to say, i'm intrigued.
  24. I'll ask the other half if she plans using them for the garden, i doubt it though.
