Weather looking very grim for Saturday. Lots of places left at 1pm track session, anyone for a russian step session?

Good to be back at track. Cedric in the top 2 or 3 in the A's, Jan toughing it out in the B's and me, Sam and Stevie in the C's. Definetly more fun to be had in C's !, in the first points race I got 7 points but not sure where that got me overall, in the scratch me and Stevie got a 1-2 in a close sprint with 3 of us within a wheel across the line, Stevie departed before the final tempo race in which Sam got an early point and I got a late one which would put us top 4 or 5. Stevie - for info Sam and I are entering the B's next week if you want to join the gang

I watched A Sunday in Hell on YouTube last week during man flu incident. Still a brilliant atmospheric film that captures the insanity and glory of Roubaix

Oh Lord, that is very hard after man flu ! Better than sitting in the house moping of course.

I have a pair of Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tubs for sale. The tyre police at the velodrome noted that they are not strictly meant for velodrome use, so please only buy if you want them for road use ! They have been used for either 3 or 4 track league winters and only ever in the velodrome. You can see from picture they have very little wear on tread. They were taped on to my wheels so can be retaped or glued as you prefer. They are fitted with 80mm valve extensions which were more than adequate for my 60mm deep section carbon wheels. 21mm section. Quick look online they retail from £40 a pop. Happy to sell the pair for £30.

Was very glad to get out today after numbing the man throat with paracetamol and ibuprofen! A real solid run until we got to the dreaded Kilwinning drag. Got dropped just before the left turn which was agonisingly near the top, an oft repeated tale the past few years. However it meant a very pleasant run back with Andy and Alan. Galeb - this is the standard route for the bogs bunch after new year, sorry I got pumped and could not give you directions. My 'radical' suggestion was to go up round the by pass at Ardrossan roundabout as opposed to trawling through the 3 towns, Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston. I think that worked well in the sense that cars have the extra lane to pass you and it saves a lot of traffic lights.

If anyone interested in I just posted in the bogs bunch group for a 10am Red Smiddy round the coast run. No idea if there will be any takers but let me know if you are up for it Glen - apologies I read your post after I had posted in the bogs bunch group. With the icy conditions perhaps you might fancy westferry - cloch to reduce risk of a 'chute' ?

Ended up doing a BB doubler, then W Kilbride run, 2 coffee's required after the headwind from Bridge of Weir to Largs ! Happy New Year
