ian, just to let you know that it was me that you seen at the corner of the pro life gym. correct , another puncture , i thought some1 at work slashed me tires !!! it was a loud bang and it ripped my brand new training tires. so they are ruined. whilst i was trying to doctor the tire to get me to the station i felt this splat on my back not knowing what it was i just continued in a fast fashion to get going. it wasnt untill i got on the train to johnstone that i over heard a couple of oap's talking to each other , one said to the other "my god look at the bird mess on that poor souls gid jacket" nice eh? thought i might share that with every one as ian drove BY ME ya &*%$!!!!!!! stevie

kenny/brian This is something that i have been looking forward too for some time but UNFORTUNATLY my working hrs restrict me being at the clubrooms for 1845. stevie

well well well folks a real bike ride this was and well worth me staying in on a friday night to start early saturday morning. ive heard many storys about arran the scenery , beer , roads and just the point of being on the island. as for me it was my 1st ever time and what a time i had!!!!! it lived up to all the expectations and to top things off we stayed the night in a lovely posh hotel , mind you for 35 bux it was a bargain so i think the youthhostel can be given a miss in the future. the run round the island for me was very hard indeed and not having any mud guards i must appologise now and will not make that mistake in the future. we all stayed as a bunch no 1 got dropped untill the last 5-8 miles from brodick as my self and martin began to feel the mighty knock. bikes back ino the hotel nicely locked up and its time to RELAX. most of us went for a sauna and a swim to shake of any muscular PAIN. by 1730 every1 was at the bar having a well deserved pint . after shifting 3 or 4 at the barr we walked doon the rd to a bar for some food which i had been looking forward to since struggling up that last col ..... by the time the food was served i had a coupe more beers and i must say the BEER goggles had arrived. back to the hotel to join in at the disco which was an ausie theme night .......an ausie theme night with no ausie music still cant work that 1 out. roughly about 2230 and the drink was going down the hatch and i was begging for a smoke , for me a former full time smoker its hard to stop whislt drinking - wish i could stop but to be honest normally i would have 10 on a night out but this night i had only the 5.....so its a start. hit the sack at midnight sharing the room with martin and lee van cleef aka as retro ian manson.(sorry ian had to be done) up the next morning for some breakfast which for me contained 17 rolls and bacon!! great stuff this eat as much as you like. the rest of the bunch got a few more miles in whislt me and martin decided to relax in the sauna. what a weekend and hope we can all do the same again sometime. cheers to all who was oot special thanks to dougie da rosa da king for the organisation required for that hotel stevie b.

thanks to all the members who told ian dooley that i punctured 3 times last week!!! i walked into his shop and the 2st thing he said was oi stevie ive got new training tyres at 15 bux a pair!!! i heard you needed a pair. well the pounding i got after that was an eye opener. so there you go if any1 is in need of tyres like me 8) then he has them for 15 barr a pair. stevie

team!!! ive just spoken to dougie del a rosa the king we have came to an agreement that we , 1-stevie blom 2-darryll mcgunson 3-dougie da rosa 4-scott donaldson 5-? 6-? 7-? 8-? will be leaving the b&h at 730!!!!!!! i will call mark whitehead and find out if he is joining us with craig leckie. dougie will get a hold of big harry and make plans where will meet him along with ian manson , martin mullholland. anyone got any problems with this please let us know. as we will be leaving at this time its going to be possible that it will be dark , therefor i have high power lights , dougie said he also has lights if need be. so if possible if other riders can take lights with them. cheers stevie

darryll i agree with you. im up for this idea and it sounds the best way too. whats the point of going to arran where people are just going to split up different directions etc as its getting nearer to the weekend can we have people's final say to how they are going to get to arran???? ill be at the b&h for 730!!! get this organised NOW so we dont have any confusion over the weekend and try and make it work as a bunch and part of the club. stevie

dougie its probably best we get transport to arran in the morning then go a run roon the isle? either get the train over or arrange with some1 who is willing to give people a lift. can somebody let me know what every1 is doing . im easy to be honest and dont mind cycling to the ferry terminal. so are people up for 1 cycling to arran? 2 getting the train? 3 getting a lift? who is doing what? cheers stevie

hi folkes just back from a trip to italy in the area of "venezia" which is in the north east of the country. mostly we where in podova and venice..... all nice to see but i could not believe the amount of cyclists on the road as part of clubs and still competing in club events which we could see from the motorway. some of the bikes they had where top class , all top of the range. stopped of at a local shop to check oot the colnago c40 hp which was going for 3500 euro with campaq record all round.(a good bit cheaper than what we would pay) ive been to most parts of italy including the best holiday resort "rimini". that wee guy pantani lives near that part in a town called cesanatico and thats cyclists heaven. well its been 6 days since iw as on my bike and feel as if ive put on another 4stone , ill better make my way down to the club this tuesday night eh ?? catch you all on saturday morning if any1 is going for a spin. stevie
