  1. Errmm, the bike was peeled from the back of the garage...added air to the tyres...I dusted the spiders off my turbo...and loaded up the car all before breakfast...the come back starts here (was I ever there in the first place ) I'l be there - For those I have yet to have the pleasure of meeting - I'll be the red puffy one
  2. Just read this book in three days...stayed up until two this morning to finish it.....I must admit I feel like I am 14 again and it takes a lot these days to make me feel that excited. For those who haven't heard about it "In search of Robert Millar", by Richard Moore, is a must read!! Especially if like me, must I admit it, you were around cycling in the 80's..... Anywho, back to my hole in Sunny Manchester.....
  3. Dear All, On Sunday I will be taking part in a 5K run (of the two feet variety I can manage at least 6K on a bike ) in Edinburgh to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Myself and some of my colleagues from work decided to take part, after one of our friends was diagnosed with Cancer back in February. Unfortunately she passed away last month. For anyone who knows how well I cycle ; all I can say is my running skills are even worse!! Therefore if anyone would like to sponsor me they can do so at http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/kersewell I’ll be the slow red puffy one at the end. Thank you Sharon

    Summer holidays

Dear All, 'Shazy tours' has once again arranged accommodation for the Tour de France. The chalet on top of Alpe d'heuz is once again booked and I'm already confirmed as going!! If your interested in going please let me know, general details are given below. Spaces are limited and it's a first come first served basis (with general priority to JWCC members of course)...... Cheers Shazy Sat-Sat accommodation for the week of the alpine stages = ~£50-60 Flights can be booked to Lyon or Geneva (Lyon closer) there are 12 beds and 1 sofa....
  6. Congratulations to you both.... Both of my friends sons were born at 32 weeks (not twins) and both have done well after giving their mum and dad a bit of a fright at the start. Alexander's just started school and the last time I saw Gregor he was using his high chair to practice rugby tackles!! Make sure you look after yourself too...... C sections are difficult to recover from, it's been six months and I still have to take it easy every so often, at least when Shona allows me to.... Best Wishes Sharon, Alan and Shona
  7. PINK - no chance!!! Who wants to be like T-mobile anyway
  8. Can you turn up on the day or do you have to enter before hand? I might be a bit busy that day , so Alan may or may not be able to participate! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For all your computer needs, spares & repairs - PC Express, Love Street, Paisley 0141-561-0323 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9. Knew about your sucesses, however just catching up on the bunch (It's amazing how quickly it fills up over a couple of weeks ) Would just like to say, Well done to both of you. Always knew that the girls ruled at JWCC - now we have even more proof Cheers Shazy
  10. The strip for Sunday is: Ballgreen Hall, Glasgow Road, Strathaven Alister is looking for marshalls to be there for 10.15ish. Sharon
  11. Hi Kelly I'll try to contact the organiser tonight and let him know we are coming. I'll also get details of where the strip is, I imagine it will be in Strathaven, but I'll let you know. Cheers Shazy
  12. Good plan Paul. See you on Sunday.
  13. Can someone let Harry know that I can drive sad wagon.
  14. PS Being banned is not good. The general view is JWCC riders would not be able to take part in any SC, BC and RTTC events. We could still take part in TLI events, however none of the results or times in these events count toward national competition ie records/BAR etc. So really being banned isn't good for anyone.
  15. I am another person who is currently unable to ride a bike at the moment and doesn't mind doing a bit of marshalling. Marshalling on your own is a bit boring, however if Kelly is happy to, we can go together. I pesonally take a chair with me now to races, so I can bring the car - with a couple of chairs and we can watch the racing in between. Where is the race? Cheers Shazy
