al yuille
Too far from comfort zone for most Billy. I thought we had some cross riders in the club ? I guess it's tougher than riding round a muddy field.

DavieB
Billy, If you are looking to gauge interest then yes I am very interested however right now I cannot commit to doing anything much apart from missing out on most of the bike related fun. If it is later on in July then I may be OK for it. Cheers, Davie
AllanM
Billy Are you sure you've thought this through? http://www.cycle-route.com/forum/Scotland-West-Highland-Way-Thread-467.html http://www.cyclistno1.co.uk/features/rides/riding-the-west-highland-way-double.htm Most people take 2 to 4 days, spend around 1/3 of the time pushing or carrying their bikes for 1/4 of the distance and either carry big loads or have a support vehicle with clothes, food and spares. Sounds harder than Paris Roubaix! Other than that it sounds fun...in a devil may care, suicidal way! Ideal treatment too for a hernia I believe. Guest Kennyb
It's doable in 24 hours. One of the guys from Planet X did Milngavie - Fortwilliam and back(!) in about 27 hours.
