Colin McPhee Posted April 28, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 28, 2013 Duly took my place at the start line in the pishing rain with 80 others for this. Spent the first two miles trying to move forward without much success. The race fragmented when two guys went away on the second lap only for one of them to go down on a bend result broken arm. I decided that getting round in one piece was now a priority and didn't take any chances. Joined a chasing group of 5 others who were working well together all be it at a slightly slower pace at times managed to catch up with a few others who had dropped of the first group and felt stronger as the race went on. Didn't warm up properly - not a good idea with some fast cat 4's and a tough headwind in places. Good day ou though and decent loop.
