2023 Subscriptions gregbalden Posted September 9, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 9, 2012 Hi all, I'm looking for some winter wheels, cheap is the key thing, ill take mis-match, one from some one, one from another, not too fussed aslong as they work and there cheap, 2nd 3rd 4th hand not too bothered. If you have seen any deals on generic wheels this would be handy too. Thanks!! Greg

james-maclaren
Hi Greg I am also looking for a wheel set. Do you have any suggested websites worth checking out, or otherwise? Regards, James
2023 Subscriptions gregbalden Posted October 10, 2012 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted October 10, 2012 Sorry for the late reply james....sites like parkerinternatinal, wiggle, chainreactioncycles are all good sites to check, that's for brand new gear, second hand? On here, braveheart cycling forum and maybe ebay or gumtree? Greg
Committee Alan McLean Posted October 11, 2012 Committee Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 I got a nice set of Easton road wheels from Dooleys for £125, about half rrp. I think they may still some sets left. Should last ages and much nicer than really cheap wheels. Cheap hubs are a crime against nature and will drive you bonkers. Dooleys are selling off a lot of summer kit so suggest you have a look and make it clear that you are JWCC. They gave me a very good price on some new Ultegra levers, way below online prices. Still hurt the wallet a bit though. Alan
james-maclaren
Thanks Alan, I only want a wheel for turbo training though, so cheap hubs are not a problem! Regards James
