If not would you like to join the intermediate run for the first 10-12 miles, splitting off at Kibirnie or just after - e.g. you could head down the B784 to Dalry then follow the route I've posted back to Johnstone. This would be about 30 miles in total: basically a shorter version of the intermediate run, missing out most of the hilly bits.
