Spring arived at last at East Saltoun as we prepared for the Hilly Humbie TT.It's a long time since this eevnt was held and Congratulations to Dougie Kirkham for getting it back on the race calendar. 44 riders took part and unfortunately Gary Robson was the only man not to finish as he had problems with his bike before and then during the event.It must have been due to the hammering he gave it the day before up at Fort William at the Jason McIntyre Memorial 10 mile TT. There was quite a few riders taking part who had made that long journey up north the previous day including myself.At least the sun was out,the wind was calm and it was actually warm. It's a cracking race circuit and many of our club are familiar with much of it from their winter training runs. Quickest on the day was Iain Grant from Johnstone wheelers in 55.59 with Hugh Jamieson [Dooley's RT] second fastest in 57.27.Our own Barry duncan was third in 57.54.Fastest Vet was Davy Millar [Glasgow Couriers]in 59.32. Jessica Wilson Young was fastest woman in 1.3.41 with Alister MacNicol [Velo Ecosse] fastest junior in 1.2.14. well done duncan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
