2023 Subscriptions Gerard Deeley Posted July 25, 2022 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 25, 2022 While it is a shame that the Georgetown League has stalled this season due to the temporary traffic lights, it is also an opportunity for us to have a shot at the Westferry course. Starting on Wednesday 3 August we will meet from 1845 at the Westferry roundabout in time for the first rider going off at 1900. If all goes well and we have enough riders we can do this for four consecutive weeks with the final week being the Frank Lauder 10m TT. Front and rear lights are required for this event. Please post up either here on on WhatsApp if you are coming, either to ride or volunteer as timekeeper. Member participation is needed if we are to continue to find a new format for our club events. 2023 Subscriptions Gerard Deeley Posted August 3, 2022 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted August 3, 2022 A nice evening for a return to the Westferry course, a little bit windy on the way out but that means a tailwind on the return leg. Three riders had a go: James 23min 29sec Gerard 24min 4sec Scott 24min 44sec The best performance of the night was definitely from Dave Cowan who stepped up to time keep and made sure the event went ahead. With what interested members have said so far about their availability to ride the current thinking is that we ride again next week on the 10th August. Then we resume two weeks after that on 24th August and then finally the Frank Lauder 10mile TT Championship on the 31 August. I will commit to the ten miles to start us off, but we need to be organised by Monday so there is the option of switching to the Georgetown League before the cut off.
