  1. We normally do it clockwise Galeb, the wind blows more favorably and legs usually numb for Lochranza climb.
  2. Cheers guy's, put my summer wheel/cassette on and still same problem. Narrowed it down to jumping off only in gears 1-5. Chain is definitely on ok as everything runs sweet on big ring, no stiff links either. I've not adjusted any screws at all. Thanks for the suggestions I'll have another play about tomorrow.
  3. Everything against me going out today - lack of sleep, angry wife and dodgy bike so giving it a miss today unfortunately, enjoy.
  4. Cheers George, I was pretty sure it was jockey wheel problem but to be sure I'll test another wheel/cassette on bike tomorrow.
  5. There is a wee bit of lateral movement on the jockey wheels, not sure if this is normal, I'm thinking when in wee ring there's not as much tension and with this movement chain jumps off. Should j.wheels be solid?
  6. This is the second chain on the cassette George, I've had that problem before but this seems very different. Chung, the chain was measured against the old one so should be ok and the jockey wheel teeth look fine. Yes the chain is coming off all sprockets very quickly! 1 turn of crank then chain is off jockey wheel and all out of line.
  7. I put a new chain on tonight in prep for tomorrows run, all gears running smooth on the big chain ring but when in the small everything goes really wonky! Looks like chain jumps off bottom jockey wheel. Paul Mcd wants local hills tomorrow now I'm stuck in big ring, please help? P.s. I did clean dirt from the jockey wheels and there is a bit of sideways movement, not sure if this is normal. Cheers
  8. I'm hoping to be out tomorrow, what's the plan of attack?
  9. Brilliant Paul! Excellent ride today, steady to Largs then cranked up a notch on the way home. Enjoyed the track tales of Archibald beating Mcdonald! Cheers
  10. Hopefully Greg. Pace last week mate was steady all the way round but only 5 of us out so no hiding places. The week before was crazy mental eyeballs out after Skelmorlie! I'm hoping for more of last week....
  11. Yes Charlie we went past normal turn off at West Kilbride, took a left at the big roundabout just outside Ardrossan, main road to Dalry took another left instead of right and stayed on main road through Kilbirnie and Lochwinnoch, no lanes, a few bits of ice/slush after Johnshill.
  12. Yes Paul a finely tuned machine today, feeling a bit goosed right now though! I will second that about Arran/Goat Fell it looked tremendous!
  13. Anyone planning on heading out tomorrow?
  14. Hope to make tomorrow but will be heading up the Haylie Brae
  15. I'll pop in with a few Pro Vision samples - Jersey, Bib shorts and Speed suit. Cheers
  16. Good shout Iain but been feeling rubbish the past few days so can't commit to anything, I'll keep an eye on forum and see how I feel tomorrow. Cheers
  17. Heading out tomorrow morning with Marc K if anyone is free? Meeting on the Georgetown Rd/Moss Rd junction 9am, Planning on going over the Bridge, Helensburgh Sinclair St, Balloch for coffee then home, steady winter pace.
  18. Great pic big man, we actually look like a proper bunch!
  19. I'm hoping the pain was purely due to lack of numbers and not rubbish legs! Popped at greenacres but carried on regardless. Cheers guys
  20. Is the bunch heading down the georgetown ?
