Just a heads up if anyone was intending to enter the crit at Stirling uni campus on the 22nd of March there are only a handful of places left in the 4th Cat race http://crit.stirlingbikeclub.org.uk/(thats about 120 entries in less than a week)
The other races such as the E/1/2/3, youth and womens are not first come first serve so no need to enter them so soon.
I applied for my licence a couple of weeks ago and was just wondering if it gets sent direct from British Cycling or does it go to the club? I cant remember what happened last year!
If it goes to the club have they arrived yet? If so when would be convenient so i can collect it. Thanks
Great weather today and a really big bunch too. However its a long, lonely road back from Kilwinning for a fat man!
To make matters worse got a puncture just after being dropped
Looks like you had a cracking day for Brisbane Glen, ended up going home after my puncture and as luck would have it the new rim tape id ordered was just being delivered. Thats what i call service - So quick fix and then back out to savour the last sunny day of the year!
Intending to go out for a few hours on Wednesday 24th, can meet at the clubrooms at 10am if anyone else is interested? Route will depend on the weather.
I think every encouragement should be made to Alan to be able eat and drink what he wants...i still remember the time i beat him up the Clune - admitedly i think it was his first time out on a chaingang and as soon as he found his legs i didnt get close again!
If no-one is going out is there a possibility of a turbo session in the club rooms? Of course only if one of the keyholders is interested in doing it too, dont want to impinge on anyone if they have other plans.
Good run today, even sort of enjoyed the headwind along the coast.
Hopefully the car drivers will calm down a bit once the Christmas rush is over, seemed to be even more close passes and overtakes on blind bends than normal.
