  1. That's fine, Dave. I'll not hang about too long after 9:00 at the clubrooms. PM me your mobile number in case anything changes.
  2. I'm thinking of doing the same route as the Intermediates, but setting off at 9:00am and sticking to a steady pace. Returning from Drymen we have the option of going back the way we came, or going back down through Milngavie, which we can decide on the day.
  3. Good solid ride at a steady pace. Shame about the rain - you know you're in trouble when you can't see the tops of the turbines at the Wind Farm. But £4 for a bacon roll, coffee and a scone - can't be beaten. Only 45 miles for me, but I was probably in the shower warming up again before Graham got to Brookfield.
  4. How about another go at Whitelees Wind Farm - 9am at the clubrooms?
  5. It's a beautiful morning in Liverpool 😎. No bike, unfortunately.
  6. Good ride and a sensible pace for the old guys. Thanks for the company and see you all in a couple of weeks, hopefully.
  7. I'll be at the clubrooms for 9:30 for an easy run. Was thinking of visiting the wind farm on Eaglesham Moor, but open to other suggestions depending on who is out.
  8. I've got a fixture backlog at the golf club, so I have a tie to play tomorrow - followed by a Father's Day meal. May fit in some turbo before I go out. Probably just as well, because the hay fever has been really bad today. Hopefully back to normal for next week-end.
  9. I'll join you for this one, Ken. As long as it's not raining.............
  10. Made it home without incident .....just. Then did a few more miles.
  11. The 30-milers is where it's at this week-end.
  12. Enjoyed the run today - even if I was mostly hiding at the back. Shame I had to shoot off and missed the grub, the banter and the photo-shoot. Ended up time trialling on the track to catch the start of the Grand Prix. Thanks to Paul for doing the organising.
  13. I thought I lived in a dictatorship where what I say goes. However, there are two under-2's who apparently have more voting power than me, so I've kept them up late and read stories so I can sneak out before they are awake...............
  14. Mercian Audax frame - seat tube 51cm c to t, top tube 53cm Wheels - 32 spoke, hand-built by Dooley's - 10speed Brakes - Shimano levers, Campag units Shifters - Dia-Compe bar-end friction Chainset - Campag triple Pedals - not provided Spares - Pro-Lite wheels, 9-speed cassette (new) Little bit of work required on the rear brake, or a swap to a long-drop brake needed. Otherwise the bike is ready to ride.
  15. Paul, Sorry for the delay - was away for a couple of days. It's a Mercian Audax frame, red. I'll stick a picture tomorrow when I get a chance.
  16. My current plan is to be there, but I have family visiting for the week-end, so don't wait for me if I'm not there on time.
  17. I have a steel Mercian , 52cm, bar-end shifters, Campag mechs and brakes. £350, if you can stretch that far.
  18. I'm in Ireland - no cycling this week-end. Enjoy the run.
  19. I'll set out with you, but I'm short on time and will probably cut off somewhere, assuming I can even make it up the Bowfield climb.
  20. Great run today. Thanks to Paul for the route and to all for the company.
  21. Not when they've got grandweans staying over, they don't. I hope to be there, but not sure if I'll make it, so don't wait for me.
