    Tuesday night

I can make Wed. How about 18:30 at bottom of Gleddoch climb (will be coming straight from work off of the Westferry)
  2. I'm in - will meet at Gourock...
  3. Paul, Drove down Sun am and completed the 107 miles in 7h 28m pedalling time (would have been 3rd last year...still awaiting this years official times.) Fantastic tour of the North Pennines and the descents almost made the climbs worthwhile. Long time in the saddle, but great route, roads and weather. A seriously tough challenge for me with the 9 climbs. Not many flat sections! The diet has started for the Lakeland Loop in Aug! Cheers
  4. Only received an email about it on Tues...thought I'd post it anyway. I'm more than likely driving down Sun am (v early!) Cheers
  5. Anyone up for a 107 mile 'spin' with nine climbs in the Lake District on Sun? http://www.highterrainevents.co.uk/9.html
  6. Planning on being out for this.
  7. Speedy recovery Charlie (and to all others who are or have been ill and/or injured.) Think I'll continue to stick to the Sportives...a bit safer methinks!

Sorry Al, Thought the C2C was the following weekend. Also, didn't seem to be much enthusiasm for it and I don't think I'm fit enough for a 150 mile two up! Billy - apologies for hijacking the post!

Planning to ride the Cairn o' Mount Challenge on the 1st...therefore unlikely to make the this run. http://cairnomountchallenge.org.uk/cairn-o-mount-challenge/
  10. Campbell, Might be up for this...can you recommend tyres that would be suitable for the off road sections (and standard winter road use) at a reasonable price! Cheers Alan
  11. I've entered this sportive on Sat 18th May http://www.deeside.org/cyclefest.html I'm camping Fri 17th in Tarland...about 16 miles away from the start. Anyone else interested...may need the help of a bunch to drag me round...
  12. BB fine with me. 9am clubrooms? Assume we're going clockwise to take advantage of the westerly on the way back?
  13. I'm in...where is Cove anyway!? I'll meet at the bridge if it's a goer for non holidaymakers.
  14. Camped at Glencoe Mountain Resort on Fri night, ready for the early start on Sat. Started out with a couple of guys from my work, with only two of us sharing the work for the first 20 or so miles into a headwind. I suffered for this after about 100 miles when I hit the climb out of Bridge of Orchy. It was every man for himself at this point. The climb to the finish line at Glencoe Mountain Resort was painfull! Excellent route with great roads and scenery. Glad to have survived the 106 miles, but my legs were shredded at the end of the six and a half hour stint.
  15. Can't make the 6pm start just now...
  16. Sorry Paul...heading up to Glencoe on Sat for the Buchaille Mor Sportive...Sun will be rest day...
  17. Colin, Afraid I'm opting for the alternative date on Aug 11th.
