  1. Hi Billy, Jane and I have it in our diaries to be there.
  2. Hi Billy, 10th please for both Jane and I. Graham.
  3. I'll come along and see how I get on......
  4. How about a trip to the cafe at Eaglesham Moor visitors centre, about 42 miles round trip from Miller St. if we follow the route below. Other options possible depending on how far we want to go on the day. Those who did this run back in May and might remember the cakes! 9 o'clock start from Miller St. http://www.mapmyride.../view/210281093 Graham.
  5. I hope to be out on this one. It looks a nice route, but where's the coffee stop? Graham.
  6. I'm happy to help, could someone post a time and place to turn up!
  7. Thanks all for the run and both the physical and moral support! I need to get more miles in before the equivalent run next year. It was good to meet some members I hadn't come across before, the tows were much appreciated, I'm hoping my legs will feel better tomorrow.
  8. Two tickets please, for Jane and I. We will bring a raffle prize.
  9. Hi Billy, I am interested in joining in with this, but could you confirm what day / time you plan to run it and if you are happy to have complete beginners as well as main bunch members involved? My wife tells me she would like to be fit enough to join the 30 milers next season, could this programme help her with this? Graham.
  10. I plan to be there, but expect to take one of the shorter options home. I'll leave Glen Fruin for another day! Graham.
  11. Hi I'll be along to, looking forward to seeing some exciting racing! See you at the park at 9:30.
  12. Hi,I will be out for this one, first of the season. Graham.
  13. Well this turned out to be a great ride. About 30 people, including one lady, turned up at the start at about the highest part of Bridge of Weir in wonderful morning sunshine for the run down to the ferry. The climb to get to the start was indicative of the first half of the ride, as up to the 100 km mark there was very little flat road and 11 classified climbs, whereas the second half only had 4! Apart from a shower between Tighnabruaich and Otter Ferry we had great weather with the accompanying views and swathes of Bluebells seemed to be everywhere. There was an assorted bunch of folks on the ride, with several from outside the Glasgow area, but they were a friendly bunch with lots of mutual moral support. The organisation was excellent, with an accurate route sheet and a warm (and warming!) welcome at both the start and the end of the trip. Overall I clocked 143m, 10,800 ft of ascent, and about 12 hours all in. Overall a great day out! Graham.
  14. Thanks everyone for a good run, nice surprise. The mystery tour went over some local roads I have not yet explored. I don't expect to be out next sunday but have fun.
  15. Happy to go on a mystery tour so long as there is a guaranteed coffee stop at around half way. Don't mid which but Bagel Basket would be good. Rendezvous at Kilmaurs has been good in the past but weren't answering their phone last week so may be shut. There must be some good ones I haven't yet discovered...
  16. I'm keen to give this a go, very much as an endurance event, would anyone like to come along for the ride? It starts right on our doorstep so seems a shame to give it a miss. Entry closes on Wedsnesday so it's decision time now...... Graham.

  20. 9 o'clock it is then, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some reasonable weather.
  21. How about a holiday weekend trip to the seaside for those with time for a longer run. Clockwise circuit, refuel at the BB, then choice of Gourock or Brisbane Glen. Graham.
  22. Hi, I'll come along to, see you in the morning... Graham.
  23. I'm still on for this run, a we bit of rain and a tail wind just adds an extra challenge to the run. I'm glad i've still got my muddies on! Graham.
