    Spied a Wheeler

Spied the 30 milers this morning at Lochwinoch. They were just moving off from an ambulance and a police car. Hope everyone was OK
  2. Got lost today, me and my mate Jim carried on when some one punctured. The idea being that as I struggle up the hills we would carry on and attack the Bowfield climb and the bunch would catch us up. However we went too far and missed the turn for the trout fishery, then doubled back and followed your tire marks as far as the Peesweep then headed down the braes to Paisley. A lesson learned, stick with the bunch ! Still a good 25 miler with some ups and downs, just what I need to improve my fitness level. Alan
  3. Good to be out with the pro's this morning if only for the flat section to Bishopton, even taking a turn at the front. As predicted me and my mate were left as the hills appeared. Jim and I did do the Gleddoch and Finlayson hills into Kilmacolm and once again onto the cycle track. Oh to be 20 years younger and 3 stone lighter ! Next time must be up earlier to be out with Willie Cosh and the rest of the 30 milers.
  4. Joined the 9.30 group this morning, good to be out with the group again. Eight riders headed down the track to Lochwinoch and then up John's hill and back roads into Kilmacolm. Yes Bill I will get a granny ring fitted, might make the climbs easier. It is either that or loose a couple of stone ! Most enjoyable 30 miles, hope to be out with the bunch again soon. Alan

    Spied a Wheeler

Today at 2:18 going into Kilmacolm. One Wheeler accompanied by a mini Jet, could have been a mini Mul perhaps.
  6. Stayed in this bunkhouse Nov'09 with Gryffe Hillwalking Club. Basic but clean, four to a room bunk beds. There is a shower in each room. Large kitchen with all you need, also drying room. Can not recall lounge area. Near pub and good chippy. Have a good weekend Regards, Alan
  7. I purchased a pair of size 45 Sidi road shoes earlier this year on e-bay. These shoes have never been near a bike as the soles are like new and cleats have never been fitted. I think the model is the genius 2. Although marked as 45, I am a size 10 and they are too small for me, also appear to be a narrow fit. May suit someone size 9 or 8.5. looking for £50.00 ono, can bring them down to club for trying on. Regards, Alan
