  15. Good to be out with the 30 milers again, first time this year. Good route, more of the same please. Alan
  16. 30 miler's curry night !!! Now that we are a well oiled superfit cycling groupet and have come to know each other rather well of a Sunday morning. Is it not time that we arrange a quiet social evening at a curry house of your choice to further cement what has come to be the friendliest cycling group west of where ever in the east. Partaking of alochol is not mandatory but advised. September calander is some what full, so October is looking good. So come on do not be shy, joint the big man for a ruby murry and a decent swally ! Slow Al especialy on the up bits PS - other group members can come along too !
  17. trainning day with a big "T" Bit of a struggle to keep up, must loose excess poundage ! Still had fun with the bunch, see you all soon Regards, Alan
  18. Yet another great day out with the 30 (42) milers ! Good sized bunch with a few new faces, a special mention for the two younger participants, James and Danny (cracking new bike by the way ! ) After the Bowfield climb, enjoyed a rolling route to Kilwinning followed by cafe stop at Castle Semple. Also good to see Mark back on his bike none the worse for his recent fall and for his advice regarding bunch riding. Great day, more of the same next week. Regards, Alan
  19. Hi Guys, Good run out today with 38 miles in the bag. Many thanks to Greig for his encouragment up the inclines, hopefully things will improve. As ever enjoyed being out with the gang. Alan
  20. Me and ma wee mate Jimbo sneaked onto the back of the 30 miler's group as they passed Brookfield. Great run down to the ferry with the" spelling up" running smoothly, marshalled by Jim and Ken. Due to time restraints, did not go to sea, however a good 39 miles in total, even the total soaking in Greenock did not dampen the spirits. Good to see so many well kent faces. Will not make this Sunday, going to climb a mountain somewhere. ATB Alan
  21. Hi Jim, Sorry do not know how to PM. Are the wheels still available and can the cassette be changed to a Shimano. Regards, Alan Vint
  22. First time out in a while, and it showed ! Great run with quite a few "ups" and still managed 44 plus miles. Many thanks for everyone's patience, now back in training and determined to loose the excess pounds. Hopefully make it next week even with all these hills. ATB Alan
