  4. A really good bunchride - decent pace and greate cafe stop!! 11 of us all in JWCC kit - a sight to behold. OOh those bulging thighs (well me anyway!!)-see Chungs photo! Except for Gerrards pink socks!!! Mia - what happended to you -where did you go? - we lost you at Ardrossan. We were worried bout you!!

  8. Via Stewarton to the Café at Eglington Park. Back via Saltcoats and Ardrossan. About 55 - 60 miles. Miller Street 09:30 Weather looking reasonable at the moment. Post if coming
  9. Six of us made it to Jacks Café in Stewarton where a unanimous decision was made to head straight home. Very cold and wet bunch!! As soon as I got home the rain stopped and the roads dried up - typical!!!!
  10. To Eglington Country Park via Stewarton. Cafe stop inthe park. Return via West Kilbride. About 60 - 65 miles. Post if riding.
  11. Nice day for a ride to the coast although the wind was a bit chilly! Boyd, Dave C, Carol, Mia, Ian H, Morna, Fairy Cake Andy and me had a pleasant café stop at Betsy's in Troon. Scrambled egg rolls were very good! I am away next three Sundays.
  12. Apart from bowfield it is fairly flat run. 65 mils club to club' Cafe stop of course. 9:30 Miller st. Note later start time for the olduns! Post if coming.
  13. Just Graham and me. After some early misty drizzle the weather improved and the return journey was dry and not too windy. An enjoyable run! (apart from puncture at the bottom of the Whin).
  14. Graham and I are planning a run tomorrow. Brisbane Glen, Largs (+cafe) and return via Fairle Moor. Meet 9:30 at Pullman Inn Kilmalcolm. Post if coming.
  15. So the main bunch bottled it!! At least the intermediates managed 40+ miles!!!!! Kudos to Ian McG for having a go!
  16. Gerrard, Graham, Boyd, If Not Wet Dave (see above) and me braved elements and headed south. Decision made to stop at Jack's cafe in Stewarton for much needed warmup Back via Neilston and Dalek hill. 45 damp miles. Thanks guys for making the effort!!

  20. INTERMEDIATE RUN About 60 - 65 (flatish) milesfrom Club Steady pace and excellent cafe stop. 09:00 at the club house RSVP
  21. Hi, Paul, Yes - we did have an intermediate group. Steady pace and about 60 - 70 miles distance (with obligatorycafe stop, of course) Lately I have been going out with the 30 milers and then adding on the some extra distance at the end to get the mileage up to 60. Having said that we had a '30 miler' run last Sunday and nearly everyone did 50+ miles with an excellent café stop at Eglington Country Park I am happy to resurrect the intermediates and I suggest a run to Troon on April 16th which is about 65 (flatish)miles from the club and a steady pace.
