    Chung's Bollard

Cycling up the A77 yesterday I noticed that Chung's bollard has been removed. Maybe there have been other unfortunate incidents!!
  3. Carol Morna David Martin Alan Paul L Ian (The Cheeky Chappy) and me set off from club. Carol was time constrained so she stopped at Dunlop Dairy with Morna so they could discuss girlie topics. Rest of us pressed on to Troon for a pleasant cafe stop at Betsy's. Brisk run back withe no mechanicals and it stayed dry. Excellent!
  4. Usual route via Bowfield, Stewarton, Dundonald. Café stop at Betsy's. Back via Long drive, Kilwinning, Route 7, Kilbirnie 60 miles from/to club. 9:30 at Miller St. Post if coming.
  5. See my post in Club Runs
  6. I am on signing in duty for the road race but plan on going for a ride after. Probably head to Eglinton Park for about 50 miles with cafe stop. Leaving Kilbarchan scout hut at 10:00. Post if coming.
  7. I am away this weekend (sunny Wiltshire) if someone else wants to post a run.
  8. I'll be at Castle Semple loch carpark 08:20 to meet those cycling from the club. I aim to catch the return ferry at 16:40 so not bothered about the pub stop. At the moment forecast showing wind ENE so that will help us on our way to Ardrossan.
  9. Gerrard - taking into account Eric's words of wisdom and the CalMac statement (see photo) it might be an idea to give them a call as we will be more than 6.
  10. A good dry but windy ride to Drymen. A new café for me - very cosy!
  11. Erskine Bridge - Bonhill - Cycle Route 7 - Drymen (café stop) - Carbeth - Milngavie. 55 - 60 miles club to club at medium pace. 09:30 Miller St. Pick up points : Bustop Georgetown Road (9:45) & Erskine Bridge (10:05) Post if participating.
  12. Status changed from definite maybe to definite! I will be riding to Ardrossan from Lochwinnoch. Anyone else riding to the ferry?

Great to see you Tom if only just for fleeting moment!!
  14. I am not available Sunday morning so can someone post a run?
  15. Definite maybe! Waiting to get Linda's work schedule.
  16. A good run today with Ian H, Graham, Peter, Karen, Andy, Mia (refugee from cancelled 30 milers run) and me. Only serious rain was about 15 mins between Old Kilpatrick and Dumbarton. Café stop at Balloch was welcome after 50 miles (for me). Need to find something sooner next time. A new café has opened at Rhu marina - might give that a try one day. Peter and Karen bade farewell to me at Inchinan turnoff and then I had 11 mile hard solo slog into the wind to LW. Got a bit damp again cos rained from Kilbarchan to LW!!! 78 miles on the clock - longest ride this year. Thanks to all participants!

So who did I see this afternoon on GT road in TT mode and club kit and said Hi Paul?
  18. Meet at Miller street 09:30. About 65 miles Club to Club. Cafe stop in Balloch. Post if coming. Weather looking OK (at the moment)
  19. I can't make Sunday morning if someone else would like to post a run.
  20. Yes a very brisk return ride! The fast bunchers (6) took over this intermediate run which elevated my average speed to 17. Still an enjoyable ride to Troon.
  21. Great Gummers! Haven't seen you for a while. Will be good to see you!
  22. Any more for the Troon ride? - only 60 miles club to club! Thought Charlie's charisma would have ensured a large turnout!
  23. I'll be there - one of my favourite runs! Blueberry stops serving hot rolls at 11:30. However, Betsy's next door (see photos) serves a magnificant scrambled egg roll and I have been going there lately.
