    Help!

Can anyone recommend a builder or plasterer that would be able to repair a collapsed plaster and lath ceiling at my Mother's house in Houston. It could possibly also mean a roof repair if a leaky roof was the cause. I am visiting her from Devon on Tuesday so would need an assessment and estimate to be carried out while I am there. Help and assistance greatly appreciated. David Jack
  3. Try boiling water on the seat tube. Then knock seat pin down slightly then try removal. Might work, it did for me, so worth a try without destroying anything.
  4. Paid 20 November by Paypal. No sign of a membership card yet. Maybe its in the pocket of the new club jersey!!!!
  5. Happy New year to everyone. Friends past and present , or both, from Devon. Reading the account of Hogmanay frae Renfrew above makes me quite jealous...... and relieved. I thought that Tony Blair and the English had destroyed auld fashioned New Years (spoken from the heart here in Devon). Theres nothing wrang wae a guid bevy that the Dalmally wouldn't fix in the morning. "Put your best man on the road" The Claddich is nothing, wait till a' get you on The washing board" Probably wasted on todays generation. Robert Sharp will remember Hell's Glen in January and the gravel down the middle with the ice and the drops. As you say Bob "keep well into the left" See you all ere long..
  6. Hi Kenny, Please can I order: 1 size 6 track top. 1 size 6 long sleeve jersey. Can we do the same as last time and I pay for postage or if I am up to see my mother maybe I could collect. Lets see what the situation is when the items are ready. Best regards, David Jack
  7. Kenny Thanks for a smashing day, even the weather smiled after a bit. Once again I really enjoyed being back in God's Country however briefly. I'll let you know how much the final total is when I have it all in.See you in next years. Regards to all who helped make it such a success. Dave
  8. Kenny I dont seem to be able to open the Erskine link for sponsorship forms and have tried their site for the same.Having just joined the ranks of the retired contributions are likely to be down on last year so the forms would be nice before I travel north on Tuesday.A retired Glasgow policeman called Taggart who is a member at my golf club has already donated. I see that I must have stuttered when registering, did Paypal pay twice? Hopefully there will be enough daylight for me to finish without lights, the bike has got a bit dusty this year, I did manage a 100 miles for a cancer charity over Exmoor three weeks ago but found the hills a bit hard. See you on the 3rd Dave
  9. Hi Kenny, Yes please can I have that one. What was the postage last time? I think it was £4, however let me know the total and I will do the necessary on Paypal. Hope all is well with you. Best regards, Dave
  10. Have we any long sleeve jerseys left in stock.my present size is 5 but would need a size up to get over the top of a base layer.I am riding the Exmoor Beast on 4th November and would be nice to have before then.I expect it will get hidden under the obligatory 2007 rain jacket!!!! Best regards from Devon Dave
  11. Kenny I have collected £180 for your Erskine Hospital Kitty. Do you want me to transfer it directly to the Hospital online and post them the gift aid forms, (they state on them that it is the JWCC Century ride) or transfer the money to the JWCC site using Paypal and send you the gift aid forms? I have tried to ask you before but my broadband connection has been mucking me around. There is possibly another £100 to come but having pledged the individual is proving difficult to catch!! Many thanks for a good if very wet day, I will do it again next year. Best regards, Dave :
  12. There used to be a small estate of wooden bungalows that I believe housed the management personnel of Bishopton Factory. They must have disappeared in the late 50's very early 60's. Thanks for Sunday Kenny despite the weather, sponsorship sheets are now £100 with the BA match still to come next weekend so shouldn't do too badly.
