  1. Hi all, I've posted AGM papers in Announcements in Members Section. I recommend that club business is discussed in Members Section but posting here for wider audience. Let me know if you don't have access. Let me know if you can't see them. Hope to see lots of you next week, there will be curry! Bring a tenner.

  8. Dear All We need a Development officer for club to join the committee and help bring the club along. Much of the work will overlap with my work as Membership Secretary in arranging new activities/rides esp for potential/new members. For instance we held some great Women's rides this year led by Elaine M. Monthly meetings in Amaretto are informal and there is great mutual support from other committee/club members. Would suit anyone with a couple of years experience who would like to increase membership and activities, or anyone who feels we need to move with the times. Zwift suite for winter? MTB rides? Gym classes? Maintenance classes? PM me or any other committee member for details Alan
  9. Dear Members I am delighted that Amaretto's is once again very kindly hosting our prizegiving on Friday 29th November 2019. Please keep the date free. This has been a super successful year for club members and many of you are in line for glory. Details to follow. Regards Alan McLean Secretary JWCC

  13. yes about 16 in bunch, quite speedy and spinning out into BoW as we chased the daylight. Glorious ride home into sunset.
  14. Which route will you take? I will need complex trig to ambush.
  15. Massive congrats to Paul McDonald for overcoming his bafflement at having no-one come through when he flicked his elbow.
  16. Excellent fast riding to Aberfoyle and return by top of the world. Me, Charlie, Glen,Tommy, Eric, Colin and Alan T. I only joined hoping for a quiet nature-filled ride but Charlie's medication had worn off and he wanted to ride paceline for 100k and attacked every hill. Oily fun after Glen broke his hanger and had to ride home on 52/16 or similar. Climbed out of Strathblane on this. Massive power, well done and funny to watch cadence of about 10 uphill.
  17. Yes tomorrow, for one day, I will be Paul Leavy! See youse 11ish with thighs of steel.
  18. Thanks Iain. any idea what they do with reserves? I don't really want to wait for four hours from 0830.
  19. Hi I've got a last minute reserve place and probable start on Saturday. I don't want to bother Geoff with more emails. Can someone please post link to race info? I can see start list on FB but nothing else. Where is sign on etc? Also I think I will be competing with Paul McD for "rider with least TT experience over last 15 years " award. Can't wait.
  20. Seven or eight is the perfect number. In high summer we should send out three or four bunches. Really nice smooth riding with some excellent spice from Galeb when he felt we weren't working hard enough.
