    sat/sun

HI All, I would like to come out and ride my bike, but I'm totally and utterly confused! Can someone just set a day (Sat or Sun), time of start and route. That should be the easy part, the hard bit is cycling round it. Cheers Chung
  2. +A1 for all involved and help to make the event so successful. Thank You! Cheers Chung
  3. I should be out with 9.30am bunch. Cheers Chung
  4. Hi. Ben, Are you the David Dickinson of the cycling world? Especially with a user name like that. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Di ... ected=true Well done...when can we see your new ride? Cheers Chung
  5. Hi Richie, I can totally sympathize with your situation, I have a clingy 9 year old son who always put on a sad and makes you guilty face when ever I put on my cycling gear to go out. That's why when (if) I go out, I try to make the most of it and enjoy it as much as possible. Keep it up and try to go out as much as you can! Hope to see you very soon! Regards Chung
  6. Already posted this on Long run Sunday post "Sorry for confusing folks with my poor judgement on distance regarding the run round Helensburgh, Arrochar, Rest and Struchar. I will struggle to last the distance and therefore does not want to slow the "Flanders Brigade" down. I plan for a 8.30am start from clubroom and cycle down to ferry, hopefully catching the 10.00am crossing with the 30milers. If the "Flanders Brigade" are starting the same time, then even better, which means I (we) can hitch a ride at least to the bridge. Again sorry for the miscalculation. Cheers Chung

  8. Sorry to hear about your injury, Brian! Hope you have a speedy recovery and be back on the bike again very soon. All the best. Regards Chung

    Long run Sunday 30

Mark, You could maybe drive down to Bishopton to park car and join the bunch at the bridge, which is what I think will be doing. Then do the route and pick car up again when coming back from Gourock ferry, that should still give you about 70ish miles. This would still be a good work-out for this time of year. Cheers Chung
  10. Greetings Frankie boy, How's are you? Good to see you making a return to the Joansin! Even just for the weekend. Hope to catch up with you at Strachor for a wee chat over tea and bacon roll! Cheers Chung

    Long run Sunday 30

Thanks Darryl! Hi Colin, Hopefully it's 3rd time lucky for you, you've been threatening to come out the last 2 weeks but no sign of you. Would be great to see you, mate! I'll probably meet the bunch at the bridge if we are going over the "Rest", too much for me if going for full route. Will post later on decision. Cheers Chung

    Long run Sunday 30

Hi Darryl, Which way were you thinking of to get to the "Rest", via Helensburgh & round to Arrochor? Any idea on the total milage from clubroom for this route? Cheers Chung
  13. Hi Willy, I hope you don't mind, I just posted on the "long run Sunday" to suggest heading over to Dunoon for a run to hopefully meet up with the 30milers at Struchar for tea and cake, then joining you guys for the return leg back to the ferry. Then again, they might just do something completely different, like going to Largs. Cheers Chung

    Long run Sunday 30

Billy & Kenny, How about joining the 30 milers for a venture over the water to Dunoon? If you read Willie's post, we can cycle down to Gourock from clubroom (or meet at ferry for those choosing to drive down) get the ferry across to Dunoon and cycle round via Loch Tarsan to meet up with the 30milers at Struchar for coffe and cake. Then we can all cycle back to ferry for a blast home. I think milage would be around 90miles mark, and we might need to start early from clubroom if we want to catch the rest of the bunch at Struchar! Just a thought, I hope I'm not gate crashing into the 30 milers party. Then again, I'm open to other options! Cheers Chung
  15. Great run today, apart from a few machanicals, with great company ! Hope "Linda" got home ok after damaging his rear mech hanger at the Greenock roundabout. Good effect by returnee Colin from Bishopton and Brian for doing the full route, well done lads! Same again next week guys! Cheers Chung
  16. Thanks David! Will definitely try the link. Cheers Chung
  17. Hi Al, Thanks for that geographic info. More of a "Nighbours" man myself. Have you seen any of the Tour Down Under action on telly there? Can't seem to get it in UK even in Eurosport! Have a great time (seems like you are anyway) and see you soon back in sunny Scotland. Cheers Chung
  18. I think Linda is Billy's imaginary cycling friend, we all have one!
  19. Billy, Who's Linda? Chung

  21. Hi Richard, Sorry to get your hope so high, I was thinking of skiving off work when I posted the reply. But things didn't work out as I planned and now I need to stay in and work. Damn! So, enjoy your ride and take care! If circumstance changes, I'll text you tomorrow or later tonight. Again, sorry mate! Cheers Chung
