  1. I haven’t been able to see the members’ only section for ages. I am fully paid up, so would appreciate being able to see it. ta
  2. Hi folks I’ll be out tomorrow at 9.30 starting at the club rooms. If anyone wishes to join me then we could make this an official club run - covid compliant - which means up to 6 people, with details to Eric for track and trace purposes. The good news is that we are not now restricted to Health Board boundaries, so I will be heading for Largs 😅. Let me know if you’re coming. Cheers
  3. Thanks Eric. 6 is a good number😀
  4. Billy- feel free to set up a Discord channel. I can’t quite get the hang of it.
  5. Hi folks There will be a JWCC group Zwift ride on Saturday at 9.30. It will last about 2 hours, around the London circuit. The group will stay together and regroup after the hill. No sticky. If you would like to join but have not received an invitation, please follow me - Darryl Gunson - on Zwift, and I’ll add you to the ride. Hope to see you in London!
  6. Glad your ride was good. As for cafe stops, it is now almost impossible to get a cafe stop for a bunch of 9. It is too cold to stand outside and social distancing inside is obviously a problem. Fenwick (and Stewarton) are, alas, currently out of bounds for us, as they are outwith our HealthBoard boundary. Hopefully the rules will be relaxed after November 2nd when the next review is due. all the best D
  7. Hope you had a good ride Mark. We had a good wee group, mostly with mudguards! The rain wasn’t too bad, but it was very windy. Distance of 55 mile or so was just about right. Think we are all getting a bit fed up of Whinn Hill though, so something different next week. See you next week.
  8. Heading for Bishopton Mark. Keeping it in the Health Board boundaries as per latest Covid guidelines.
  9. Good man. I make that me, you, Iain C, Ian McG, certain. Stuart is a maybe. Nice wee group. See you tomorrow.
  10. Probably 3 hours riding for me. Coffee if I find it on top of that. Aiming to be back for about 1.30. So, 50 miles tops.
  11. Heading out at 9.30 for a steady local ride. If anyone wants to join me let me know. Limited to groups of 9, so may have to split the group if the numbers are big.
  12. So, if all who have said they are coming do turn up then we will probably have to split the group. In which case I think we need a volunteer to lead the second group. Options then are: all do same route with one group off 5 mins before the other. Or, the second group can decide on another route if they don’t fancy the one I have in mind.
  13. I’ll swing by the club rooms at 9.30. Hope to see a few out.
  14. Hi folks The latest SC regulations say that the only group rides allowed from more than two households are club rides. Club rides are limited to 9 people. All rides should be within the Health Board boundaries. I’ll be leaving the Club rooms at 9.30 for a ride - route to be decided - which aims to comply with these guidelines. I imagine no more than 60 miles. Post here if you want to join. cheers Darryl
  15. Great to see everyone today. Lovely day for it. So glad we made the run a bit shorter and easier. See you next week. cheers
  16. Hi folks The initial route would have had us straying into North and East Ayrshire, albeit briefly. But, in the spirit of trying to comply with the latest SC guidance, we have revised the route slightly to make the ride fully compliant. It will stay within the boundaries of the GG&C Health Board, and it will be a bit shorter and easier! Cheers Darryl
  17. Route for tomorrow (plenty of bailouts) - club rooms 9.30 - Bishopton - port Glasgow - Whin. Hill. - wall climb - reverse - Clune brae - back road to Finlystone - Kilmalcolm Cross - Phil’s Folly - Lochwinnoch - Beith - Barmill - Dunlop - Stewarton - Neilston - Dalek Hill - Hame
  18. Update. Runs are restricted to within our Health Board boundaries. Those boundaries are a bit vague, so inadvertently crossing a boundary may be excused if we are not sure, but the coast run definitely takes us into North Ayrshire, which is forbidden. So, I’ll devise another route for within Inverclyde, and Renfrewshire limits. Post if you are up coming - 9.30 at the club. Cheers
  19. We didn’t quite make the full coast last week so I’m proposing we try again this Sunday in better weather. 9.30 at the club, usual route.
  20. We were a bit unlucky with the weather to start with, but I’m glad we persevered. At least we finished in the sunshine. Ritchie’s decision to wear shorts was vindicated...almost 😅 If we get day when the weather is guaranteed dry let’s get the whole coast done. Cheers
  21. Great idea Jan. I’ll definitely be up for group Zwift rides as we head into winter. Won’t make this week though. cheers Darryl
