    Summer Break

After a good few weeks of weather and some hard fought games we are taking a well deserved break. Next game scheduled for Monday 10th Aug 7.00pm at Lochwinnoch. So far we have me, Pat, Alistair, Alex and Ian (if someone phones to let him know) any more? I have they container key -is there another copy anywhere? Enjoy the summer.
  15. Better than Dooleys? I hear you say, but surely thats not possible........ At 5.55 tonight I realised that I hadn't fixed my polo bike wheel. Out to the garage I went where i was sure I had ample repair kits levers, tubes etc. Hanging where i had left them was my collection of burst tubes (never throw anything away - it may come in handy some day) all I needed were some patches and the levers. Alas the patches were no where to be found. At this point I'm sure you can imagine my disappointment Dooleys would be closed and no time to visit any other cycling outlet Thinking i would have to miss out on riding the bike (again) I was near to tears. But them i remembered the Cycle Warehouse - a new local outlet just 3 streets away. One quick phone call to the sales staff - Mr K Steel - and I was relieved to hear they had just what i wanted in stock. For those unaware of this mega store I strongly suggest you get yourself round there asap. A wide range of bikes (most look hardly used and many look brand new) on display along with just about every accessory you can imagine. I quickly helped myself - before the sales staff returned - ran up the road and repaired my puncture.. There was a man from the council planning there taking measurements so I strongly suggest you get there soon.
  16. missing part of a lap shouldn't be a problem, from what I hear someone does it most weeks by pretending to puncture See you tonight - I'll be the red faced, can't speak for trying to breath one
  17. secret training over - all 5 hours of it. I'l be there tomorrow night, but will be looking for a 30 min start on first group where are we starting from - so long since I did a club event I can 't even remember the course
  18. game on tonight? Me and drew will be there - he promises to go easy on me
  19. +another 1 for Kenny I've seen his lift storage unit (even had a hand in building it) and can tell you all it is very impressive. Plenty of room for his ever increasing collection. I am even considering moving some of my bike collection from the clubrooms to his storage lift
  20. anyone playing tonight?
  21. Monday is good with me. Are you offering a frame building / brazing service? I've got all the tubes but no time cheers
  22. any update on summer park? I found a foodball pitch sized piece of grass round the corner form me on Sunday. Flatish ( slight drop to one corner), no markings of goals - but that never stopped us before. I guess it must be council owned as the grass is cut but its more like a level field with decent grass, no houses over looking just the occasional dog walker. Might do us till the other pitches are back in use.
  23. some would say - "over developed" - especially around the waist
