Unfortunately Big H was taken back into hospital on Monday, he has lost a lot of strength and has started to faint as he stands up due to very poor Blood pressure, he is now in the RAH again and is making a slow recovery but he is getting there, I was hoping that he would be out within a couple of days (and i wouldn't post this message) but he is still in, so here's hoping he will be out soon and resuming his recovery. I'm very glad to say that Big H is now out of hospital, he was thrown out Yesterday, he is now back at home to start his recovery, I have just spoke with him and he thanks you all for your "good wishes and concern" He is still as grumpy as ever, so the operation has not affected his good nature. Went up to see Big H tonight, and I'm pleased to say that he is now out of the HDU and has been moved to Ward 26, He has been up and walking around on Saturday (and over did it) rested Sunday and is now able to sit at his bed and have a chat. He has also been able to have something to eat, the first in 2 weeks, and can now complain about the RAH food just like the rest of us!! the bad news is that the doctors have told him he wont be able to ride the bike for another 6-8 months!! (but i would like to put a bet on that he will be out well before that!!) He seem to be recovering very quickly, probably due to his depth in fitness (but dont tell him i said that), just shows you the cycling isn't that bad after all. If some of you dont know yet, then i have been asked to post an announcement, to stop the roumors- I have decided, after long discussions with the previous "presidente", to move to the North Beach/Dooleys race team, I will still be a JWCC member,l but will be racing for the North Beach/Dooleys next year. This move has been long thought out and basically I just want a change, there are not really any other reasons other than personal ones. hi all- sorry i have not given an update, my computer went on the blink on Saturday, so its now fixed. Big Harry is still doing well, I have been up to see him and he is looking really good (considering), he is talking, but unusually you can get a word in because he gets tired quite quickly. Harry had a 6 hour operation on Thursday, he is now in HDU and is doing well, had a temperature last night and asked his son Steven to smash the sprinkler to cool him down, I will contact Steven again tonight (FRI) and get an update. Harry has been a big influence to me and my riding and racing in the past years, this is a great chance for anyone who plans to race time trials next year to learn from a guy who has been riding the bike since he was 15 years old, and could still put a lot of us to shame at the age of 56 turning in some excellent times. Harry was always there we he was at work to keep me right on training, fixing my good bike and various pieces of his knowledge, so if you have a chance get yourself along and see what the old fella has to offer, and don't forget its "free" you could pay a lot of money for one to one coaching in the real world. Thankfully The tests have shown nothing serious, so he is having some anti-biotics (or antiseptic) as the old fella calls them, and should be on the mend soon and hopefully back out on the bike with something else to moan about!! Cheers Sean.

Big H has asked me to let you know- The century starts at 9.00am at the wee fund raising office next to the Garden centre, the entry is £7 and all proceeds are going to the Erskine Hospital Charity, the Ferry tickets are being supplied and the 100 miles are not compulsory, i.e.- you can go to arrochar or tarbet and back if you like. Could we let all your cyclist pals know about the event, but remember that they should have the ability to complete whatever run that they choose to do. My wife Susanne and myself had a baby boy this morning at 9:26 after a very long and hard labour for Susanne, 30 hours in total!! the Baby's name is Alexander (at the moment) and is 8lbs and 6oz, unfortunately he is his Dads boy and looks very much like him, (poor boy) Susanne and Alex are still in hospital getting to know each other and should be out for the weekend.
