  4. I have just received this post via E-mail and its content may be relevant to some club members. Hope that George makes a speedy recovery from his injuries. SVTTA Boomerang Trophy Ladies and gentlemen Unfortunately, I have just been advised that George Stewart the organiser of the SVTTA Boomerang Trophy, scheduled to be held this Sunday (4th May), has been involved in a car accident and is currently detained in hospital. At this late juncture, the SVTTA feels it has no option other than to cancel the event. I would be obliged if you could advise your members and any other people who you know may be affected by this decision. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. regards John Pardo Chairman SVTTA
  5. I did actually cross the line quite fast (for me). It was the other 4.8 miles from the Papermill turn that were a bit tough. If I had known the weather was going to be so destructive of times I would have ridden my old bike. There is always the next 1 whenever that is ...... for me its A66 double header on 3 and 4 May.

Jim Dunlop and I rode from number 11 and immediately before starting had bribed an onlooker to drive his car in a fashion as to slow down George and Vicky. Might I take the opportunity to compliment him on his excellent sense of timing. We did a 17.13

  9. Hi Colin, Will be no problem to wear older kit. So long as it is remotely close .......
  10. Thanks Kenny, Just to re-iterate, payment to Steve Joughin for this clothing on Sunday will virtually wipe out the bank balance of the club. I would ask those individuals who have ordered clothing to come along to the club or contact me here or via PM so that delivery and payment can be arranged. It should go without saying that in the circumstances, payment is expected on delivery. Thanks in advance for your help in this Ian

The club AGM takes place this evening in the clubrooms with a 7.00pm start. All members welcome. Given the strong turn out for Sunday runs suggesting a buoyant interest in the club we are expecting a good attendance. Dance tickets will be available and 2008 membership fees (whatever they might be set at) can be paid so bring along plenty cash
  21. What does this do for the likely mileage. But count me in anyway.
  22. This coming Tuesday is the Club 2-Up Champs. This is a handicapped event based on your best 10 times (or Georgetown time) so everyone has a chance. Hope to see a good turnout before Hill Climb training takes over.
