man5e Posted April 18, 2006 Report Share Posted April 18, 2006 The better weather (than last week) brought about a far stronger turn out but obviously none of the club's much prized friendliness - because everyone chose to ride solo rather than the team event as advertised 10 hardy souls and a deep frozen Katrina participated and there were some good rides. Of note were Jim Dunlop making a too rare appearance on the competitive stage and doing so very well and Stevie Blom who rode the brake hoods on his Bianchi road bike to an obscene time. Fastest were, 1. Stevie Blom, 17.00 2. Dave Leonard, 17.14 3. Jim Dunlop, 17.30 All the times were, Kenny Steele, 23.17 George Hamilton, 17.34 Jim Dunlop, 17.30 Katrina Hair, 18.00 Campbell Crombie, 18.34 Euan McKay, 19.43 Jim Daly, 18.42 Stephen Hickey, 19.25 Stevie Blom, 17.00 Dave Leonard, 17.14 Vicky Begg, 19.33 Well done and hope to see you all next week.
