Stevie Blom
HI ALL!!! For you that dont know , Bute have a cycling weekend on 10-11 september this year. This is held by the TLI. Just think of it as Milport on 2 days of cycling events. I have been for the past 2 years and cant fault it !! Great fun and many top cyclists use it as a year end blow out. Saturday morning you can do the Hill climb up the famous serpentine. the afternoon at 14:30 you can try the 26 mile 2 up round the island. Sunday morning they have a 10 mile time trial followed by criterium. its a great laugh and you will find it a bevy weekend if you decide to come over. Myself , George Hamilton with Ironman Crombie are heading over with george and i intending doing the 2 up. After that we shall gracefuly retire to the el boozers for the beginning of a marathon drinkathon. Once you are well on we head towards the famous "Harbour Restraunt" for some quality food and wine Afterwards we get stuck back into the bevy and hopefuly end up in the B&B you have booked . So anybody fancy it ? Get the ferry over on saturday morning from wemysbay to rothesay. Stevie B.
pete bennell
Steve, Like with many things this season, I suspect that you would go much too fast for me(both in the racing and the drinking!) and anyway I will be away in the Pyrenees - have a great time! Stevie Blom
Dave have a look at the B&B's on the net about bute. Claire will not need to use her BCF licence as its TLI and you can turn up on the line as far as i know. Its a great weekend to enjoy the bike and the bevy
