goldfish Posted July 19, 2014 Report Share Posted July 19, 2014 Hello! I'm going to be joining for the first time - again provided that this downpour has stopped! I cycle regularly and consider myself to be in good shape, but never cycled in groups or did long distances (I'd consider 30 mile long). Also I only have a mountain bike, so I should probably say sorry in advance if I can't always keep up the pace! (especially going uphill...) Anyway, looking forward to tomorrow. Stanley Accrington Posted July 20, 2014 Report Share Posted July 20, 2014 Many thanks to Ken for posting/choice of route ( I'll let someone else provide the detail); a really enjoyable run out in very nice weather conditions and some great views. We were a bunch of nine in total, including two newcomers - Phillpo and Andy - and it was good, too, to see the return of Kev Habbick . A truly fabulous effort on the mountain bike by the way - well done! Ken/Phillipo headed home as time limited, whilst the rest of us headed over Phil's Folly to Lochwinnoch, where practically EVERY cyclist in the central belt had descended on the cafe - it was a really good atmosphere and great to see such numbers out!
