No details have been thrashed out yet, but the basic idea is to do it on the cheap. Cheap flights, rent a chalet and ride our bikes for a week. I'll be calling a meeting at my house in Feb to thrash out details, but for now can anyone who is interested post here. We intend to stay in the vicinity of Lourdes so that we'll be within easy reach of the cols and the Tour. Probably looking at flights from Edinburgh, change in London and on to Toulouse. From Toulouse via car (approx 150Km). At the moment a few possibilities for accomodation are being investigated. (a) A luxury Villa (for 8, 10, or more) that is 4miles from Lourdes at the head of a private valley. all mod cons , but it is not in town.
