Members Richard
Another hard day out with the grown-ups for me. A bunch of four set off down the track from Morrisons at quarter to nine: me, Darryl, Ian Manson and Matt Howitt, a visitor from Yorkshire Road Club, up here on his hols. Ian escorted us to Glengarnock where we waved cheerio and headed for Dalry. Then it was over Fairlie Moor to Largs and back up the Haylie Brae. There was a much needed cafe stop in Lochwinnoch at the end of the run proper. It's funny how the tiredness hits you all at once. The first clue I was flagging came on Argyle Street when I found myself drafting a fuzzy-booted lady cyclist. Who'd have thought that the slipstream effect from a bike fitted with a shopping basket would be so pronounced? Nice to meet you all. Matt, give us a shout if you're ever up here again.
