An unbeleviable night out in Stirling for the JWCC

Greg was off number 2 with nobody to chase , the ride out to the turn was into a stiff headwind which made conditions tough ( so tough even Ian Grant said it was hard  )

25:48 later Greg sprinted home for a personal and the junior award Oh ya dancer !

Next up was Ian Grant who made it look easy on way out and cruised magnificentlty home to a 21:31 and 2nd. senior on the night Oh ya dancer !Oh ya dancer !

James set off at 51 and left at speed , only to shear his seatbolt at 1/2 mile mark. A hasty patch up was attempted and as I returned from informing timekeeper he was busy fitting Ian Grants shoes and climbing aboard Ians bike

Only the young and foolhardy would attempt such a feat

Meantime Frank was on course and bemused by no sign of James at turn :-?

Frank found conditions tough but did a years personal to record 23:30

James arrived at timekeeper with 10 secs to go and set off once more at speed , followed by Davie Gibson last man off.

At the turn James was 30 seconds ahead od Davie G as he trurned at 12:00 dead. With 1 1/2 miles to go seconds seperated them and going into last mile Davie passed at speed .

Davie Gibson crossed the line in 21:12 to take first Vets awardfollowed by James in 22:20 to claim 4th. senior on the night Oh ya dancer !Oh ya dancer !

So 4 riders , 3 prizes and 2 PBs on an exciting night for the Johnstone 8-)

Huge vote of thanks to Ian for the loan of shoes and bike to James which allowed him to ride .
