  1. Good ride with Paul And Marc. Marc basically towed us round with Paul trying to find his summer legs and with me having what seems to be a start of man flu. Nice work Marc With roads closed we decided to stay local and do some hills. Thanks guys...on to next week!
  2. Paul can make 9.00, so this is still on for 9.00.
  3. Non-stop 45 miles round the coast. Leaving BoW lights at 9.00am Post if you would like to join.
  4. Good shout. Alternative have two groups to suit different abilities and set it off from the start.
  5. Snappy speedy ride with Marc around some local hills. At some points was barely hanging on...someone seems to be on form We rode a similar route to the one I did solo last week but with an increase in average speed of 2mph and a bit. Some difference when riding with someone else and in this case someone who loves a bit of healthy competition . On to next week and will be good to see a few more (I know Charlie cant wait).
  6. Haha don't worry there is always next week. See you tomorrow Marc.
  7. Leaving BoW lights at 8.30am for a couple of hrs. Either round the coast or something local. Post if you would like to join.
  8. Since no takers did a solo local ride. Glad I did...always better something then nothing. Paul you missed a fine Scottish day with horizontal rain and typhoon winds.
  9. Its back...if you would like something a bit punchier and shorter than the fast/long bunch ride then this is it Non-stop 45 miles around the coast. Departing 9.30am from BoW lights (the ones closer to Kilmacolm). Post if you would like to join.
  10. Good to see Charlie, Cedric and Darryl. Wet and windy ride we decided to get back via haylie.

Unlucky Charlie...sounds like you had a good 2up with Billy. Good bunch ride...got harder after Kilwinning when Michael Storer decided to put the hammer down stringing up the bunch and slowly shedding the riders of the back. I got sheld out just before Lugton where I was deciding to turn off and made my own way back home.

Fast one into Largs today! Decided to go back via haylie on my own pace after that
  14. Good fast bunch today in wet windy conditions. Went back via ardrossan. Good work Andy you were doing some good shifts. Sorry to hear that Paul...hopefully next week.
  15. Figured that out after Jan's post...it even has its own strava segment! Will be Hieley or west kilbride form now on then and maye the odd one. It's definitely good fun if you have the time for it.
  16. After a week off the bike here I was turning up for the usual renfrew bunch. Before Largs burnt some matches and chipped of the front in the head wind and stayed away...it seems bunch didn't have appetite to chase and let me go. After a quick break in largs we set off to do a slightly different route (I thought!), or radical as Paul described it...the last stretch towards Barrhead/Paisley (I think) was intresting with 6 of us left out of a good size bunch, but at that point I was running out of fuel and decided I had enough. Had no clue where I was but luckily we caught Jan on that stretch that joined me and gave me some direction . Found my way...75 miles on the clock...good ride but a bit too long for me. I'm more of a 45-50 miles with a punch .
  17. Festive Renfrew Bunch... Plan was to catch them at Inverkip round about (cause going through spango valley is cool ) however, missed them again but this time I was ahead! Strong head wind heading to Inverkip which probably slowed up the bunch too. When I got to Inverkip thought I was late so head down into aero mode to Largs but no one there! A few mins later the bunch turns up...they must have been going slow! Not...turns out that it was balls out JWCC vs G Couriers by the sounds of it, will let the involved tell the story. Shame I missed that mincing. Back via Ardrossan with a good size bunch allowing a fast T&O. Good to see Alan McLean out with his 3/4 bibs! Food and rest now!
  18. Yep fun it was. 5 of us started off and through old Largs road we were joined by Ian and Andy. Thanks for the company
  19. I will be out for a 45 mile ride this Thursday if anyone wants to join. Weather looking good, leaving at 9.30am from BoW. Whin, loch Tom, Largs, haylie, Kilbirnie BoW.
