Iain Biggest thing for you is being able to climb 17% plus hills sitting on the saddle as traction on the pave is not great especially if wet. The first or second section of the cobbles has a massive camber so get in the centre and defend your space. Still think this was the hardest thing I have done on a bike Great fun though especially the mental fast start on a 1.5 m path

25 mm pave can be hard to find as they do 27 mm but Shop around you might get them at £30 I use them all winter great tyre
