  1. TBH

if you don’t have the right tools you can make up a couple of botches to do it , generally front is easier, rear a bit more of a pain usually more bearings , just watch that you read the bearing manufactures instructions re grease , and remember they may need a few runs to run smoothly. I usually just get a shop to do it as most of my wheels have slightly different sizes so costs too much to get bearing press and tools

  2. The flux is ok and will probably do all you need , but Taxc is now owned by Garmin so you have there customer service standards. What you need to do is decide what you want from the trainer , then buy the one that hits all your needs . The Neo is probably the best over 2000 watts , slope is great so any climb feels hard , plus you have road feel and the ability to use it un plugged, but are you going to use these features.

Hi Billy hope you're healing well as I missed your😆

If I am honest I prefer that side of the water, less traffic and more climbing. That said I think we're due an Ayrshire Alps before the weather closes in or George's suggestion of Golf Ball Climb. Why don't you come over for the Rothesay weekend, as you can shout abuse(encouragement) to me and my fellow wheelers👍

Can’t get over to verbally encourage as going to the Atlantic Bar Restaurant for early food and drink but at £11 a G&T I might be sober enough to get over on the Sunday

Clubs rooms 09:00, Erskine Bridge 09:40. Alexandria, Glen Friun, Glen Douglas, MOD road to Kilcreggan, back round the coast to Helensburgh, then either Sinclair street or Cardross Climb then home. Around 80ish miles, loads of climbing and bail out places, so bring your climbing legs. Weather looks good for Sunday

Is your Garmin broken , there are three other points on a compass , other than north . Think they are called south west and east . Or are you trying to promote this as the new Largs 😂

I am only moaning because I can’t come out and play

  5. Congratulations to Sam on a very good time on the west ferry ,

However it must be time for change with limited attendance on any of the confined events , the organisers and the committee must look at ways of attracting more entrants , I have suggested running these as low level open events , but this seems to have been binned as a bad idea , but at least it opens the doors for more entries

Because we always did it like this doesn’t mean we should do it this way now , things open to change should include Day of the week , course etc , and who can ride . Seems a bit of a shame just doing the same thing and watching participation dwindle .

The Sam Dooley TT has been cancelled this year.

We have had difficulties in sorting out permissions for the event and with the possibility of roadworks made it too difficult to arrange a safe TT.

Thank you to all that volunteered to be marshals

David the roads and the police never actually give permission for the event, in fact they usually make it as difficult as possible, I think they do this deliberately and do not support local sport . Just think how easy organising next years event will be now you have had all this learning 😀

You deserve a free pint from all of the committee at the AGM , unfortunately I have to give my apologies for it as I will be washing my hair
