  1. There is a run on Sunday now I will make, 65 miles is not daunting, but I do not know what pace you guys keep.
  2. I was hoping to do my first club ride this Sunday, if it is okay I would like to come.
  3. I am a pretty decent home mechanic but I am never happy with my brakes. If this workshop can help me I would like to attend.
  4. I am very sorry Karen, I did not know that you had. I have not been all the way to the top, does the hill bear its teeth the whole way?
  5. A lovely sunny evening for some cruel, self inflicted torture that will torment my sleep tonight. But all in all worth it for a better time than last week, so thank you to Richard and Paul for officiating. P.S. Richard; Karen left for home at the top, choosing not to repeat the climb (for some reason or other?) and we did pay you at the bottom, should that solve a puzzle.
  6. I plan on being there. It is what I do with the following Tuesday that is my problem.
  7. Maybe the dirt was holding the gears together as that was not fun on a clean bike that was not playing nicely. Still I want to come back next week and post a time that is as respectable as everyone else. Good job from Carol and so far no one has complained about the setting off.
  8. Another personal best for Maverick and Goose, but it could not be done without all of the timekeeping and support on the line. Good runs from the others too as well as a chatty café stop and lessons in bunch riding later. Thank you to all.
  9. I will try to be there and I have been told there is an easier bit in the middle where the pain drops down to excruciating, before rising for the finish
  10. I will be down there with a fresh, unopened jar of hurt to be slathered liberally over the route.
  11. Big, big thanks to the time keepers and to Alan, I will be buzzing all day tomorrow thinking of that time. Very well done to everyone else.
  12. I will be leaving Erskine at 0900 and heading to Bridge of Weir for 0930, then down the bike track towards Linwood and on to Largs.
  13. I will be leaving Erskine at 0900 and heading to Bridge of Weir for 0930, then down the bike track towards Linwood and on to Largs.
  14. I will be down to ride and I would like to pair up with Alan again. We should try and smear more pain on the road and get below 17 minutes!
  15. Well I will be off to Largs then, so if anyone else wants to meet up...
  16. The weather is mild with light winds and I will need a steady cycle. Is Largs and back doable in around four hours with a sensible coffee break?
  17. Thank you to Alan for pairing up with me again and Graham for timekeeping. Shame about a couple of rude motorists, they must be jealous of other peoples' fun.
  18. Thank you to Alan for timekeeping. Have a good 25 miles tomorrow. Also James and Graham for a bacon roll fuelled ride afterwards.
  19. Thank you to Graham for time keeping. Big thanks to Alan for helping us both to a personal best and to everyone else for a good event.
  20. I will be down to ride. If anyone wants to pair with me let me know, if not I will go solo.
  21. Thank you to Karen, Carol and Dave for push off and timekeeping and to everyone else just for being there to ride.
