I'm going to try to be at the Pullman for 8:30, but don't wait for me as I've got family here and may have to drive all the way to Wemyss Bay.

I will probably be along. I'll be driving down to Wemyss Bay (or somewhere relatively close), since are no trains running to either Wemyss Bay or Gourock from Paisley.

1 pair Giro Apecxx Shoes - size 42 - £30 ono (currently £59.99 in Evans sale) If you normally take shoe size 7/41, then these will fit well. Shimano PD R550 SPD-SL Pedals - £20 ono (cost £35) I'm going back to my Speedplays after a failed experiment with proper road shoes and pedals. These items have done a total of less than 150 miles. £45 the lot if bought together.

Got lots of family staying. May try to get down to the TT start if we get a decent sleep, but don't depend on it.

Bill and I did indeed catch Anthony at the turn-off and made it home picking up the track on the far side of Howwood. Karen passed Bill and I again as we chatted to Mary, who'd been down to Lochwinnoch. Good run today - thanks for the company.

Made the ferry with an hour to spare, but it was hard work. That string road is about 10 miles climbing and one mile of scarily fast descent. Max speed on that was 49.7 before I hit the brakes - could probably have hit 60 if my bottle had not gone. Mind you, there was some pretty dodgy road surface and it's hard to see when your glass are vibrating like a pneumatic drill A wee bit of help. Thanks for all the support today. Glad I decided to cut it short - I'd have been looking for a B&B if I'd carried on. Hope you all made it round ok and Morna's dog didn't make too much of a mess

I'm planning on being at the clubrooms at 07:30am. However, we are babysitting tonight, so don't wait on me if I'm not there on time. A disturbed night could mean a longer lie and taking the train down.

Looks like I should make it, but only if the weather is going to be reasonable - too many soakings recently. Thinking about cycling down and getting the train home. More later.

I will plan on being at the club at 9am - unless it is raining. I'm just recovered from getting chilled a couple of weeks ago, so will be cautious about getting wet again.

Worn once. £20 to a good home. Currently selling on Wiggle etc for £59.50. These are SPD shoes, taking a 2-bolt recessed cleat. Shimano shoes tend to size a little small - I normally take a 41 (UK 7) and these fit fine. Having bought them on an impulse, I realise that I'm never going to wear out my other Shimano shoes

I'll not be out on Sunday - been struggling with a bad cold all week and not been out since last Sunday. Hope to be back into it again for next week.

Would love to come, but we have a 1st birthday in Liverpool on the 26th, so we'll probably be travelling down on the Friday. If we leave the travelling until the Saturday, then I should be able to make it.
