  3. "Rough sorts" This is becoming unacceptable. Suggest for the sake of unity it stops NOW.
  4. I will join you at the Bridge 0930/45 JOhn
  5. Input noted. It may be lost that the "30 milers" and the IM groups are starting runs together and splitting after an hour or two. As far as I am aware everyone involved is happy with this. If however any of us have a great wish to batter up and down the Ayrshire coast over hills and get spat out the back half dead we will give the main bunch a shout. Just wish we could be left alone to enjoy club runs that we arrange to suit our ability. Thanks for the input however your interest in our welfare is appreciated. John
  6. Many thanks to everyone who turned out today. Great run to Gourock when the intermediate group headed for Largs. The Dunoon to Toward/Knock Dhu was a great run although the 15 mins of heavy rain on the return leg to Dunoon was not good. Well organised bunch with everyone working for each other. Finish mileage for most 70 to 80 miles,( a 30 mile day out?). Well done to everyone and hope Dave recovers from accident at Houston. Look forward to next week Thanks all. Greig/Elaine you dont know what you missed.
  7. Thanks all. Harry will say 1030 ferry to be safe. PM me your mobile so I can keep in touch should anything change on the day. John
  8. If the weather is kind this Sunday the plan is to attempt the Toward/Loch Strivan run(again). Leave 0900 Club. Track to Kilmacolm, Knockbuckle Road, Auchenbothie Road, Clune Brae, A8 to Greenock, A78 to Gourock. Western Ferries either 1000hrs or 1030 Ferry. Dunoon, Innellan, Toward to Knock Dhu (Loch Strivan). Same route for return, Coffee stop in Dunoon. If the weather is not looking good we can try a local run. Long range forecast however makes the Loch Strivan run a good shout. Only hill is the Clune Brea on return. Flat run with fantastic views on the Argyll side. Cheers John
  9. Thanks to all for today. Greig and Elaine-Enjoy the break John
  10. I will join you if the weather is not as bad as predicted. John
  11. Great run today. Thanks to Tony for his help.
  12. Hi Guys It was a good run today and Greig/Mark I am with you 100% as regards safety. Simple rules for bunch riding which improve safety/speed and reduce effort. Not following the rules creates unacceptable dangers to everyone. We should all be riding for each other and yes some additional training/practice would be good. Remember we represent the club when out on the road. We wear club colours and others will judge us by our road sense and safe riding. The 30milers have come on so much over the last year in terms of distances 50/60 plus and at reasonable pace is now the norm. Lets not spoil it or take anything away from the improving bunch. A wee bit of discipline would make such a difference. Thanks Greig John
  13. Fit and quality very good. Represents great value for money. No complaints and thanks Greig for all your efforts in obtaining the shirts. John
  14. Route Track to Kilmacolm. Knockbuckle Road, Auchenbothie Road to Port Glasgow. Clune Brae, A8 then A78 to McInroys Point. 10.30 Ferry. Hunters Quay turn left through Donoon, Innellan to Toward and Knock Dhu. Same return. Cheers John
  15. I will be out this Sunday Cheers John
  16. Can not do this Sunday. Enjoy the run John
  17. Richie If that is Erskine Garden Centre car park I think they are getting annoyed with non customers using the car park. A good few cyclists are using the car park as a start point for runs. Try the Erskine Office-Plenty of space. John
