  2. Tremendous run after my legs decided to work. Longest run this year for me. Surprisingly legs not too bad now. Good group today with plenty of shelter to be had on flatter sections. Colin
  3. Will b at north side of bridge at 9 30 Colin
  4. I had the misfortune to discover I have a slow puncture in a tubular tyre. Does anyone know where I can have the new tyre fitted properly as I have watched the continental you tube video and simply don't have a spare 4 days to wait while the tyre is stretched glued and the rim sanded. It is a carbon rim ? Colin

  8. Yes - good run. Who was the guy in the dooleys kit who we saw on the run through Bishopton ? He gave me a bit of a motivational talk as my hill climbing is annoying me at the moment. Made it back with 78 miles on the clockl so a good day out and great fun on the summer bike. Should make it out this Thursday as won't make next Sunday. Colin

  12. Debate is healthy - like Tom I like the idea of the Intermediate group when I feel an easier ride is in order, but I like the main bunch as a challenge in terms of making steady improvements and as a gauge to see where my fitness levels are. I don't think there are many members who are overly concerned about 'getting a doing' on these runs as we are all capable of accepting that to improve means a bit of effort.
  13. Got back at about 6 30 Paul think I might have to buy the missus some chocolate for her heroic efforts in driving down to collect me. Still enjoyed it up until the calamity with my rear mech. Chung - sorry I didn' t read your post last night or would have got you down i'll make a note of your mobile for future use. Oh and by the way while waiting at the restaurant for support who should happen to come in for their bar lunch but none other than Ally McCoist. According to Campbell he has a house round that way. Should've asked him if he was heading back any time soon. On the other hand he probably needed to find some players amongst the sheep who were wandering about. Colin
  14. Enjoyed the workout today. Something different - great idea Darryl. Managed to hang on a bit longer on the 2nd lap so something was achieved by me on a personal level. Legs were gubbed though so headed for home as 1st group were starting the 4th lap. Would be up for having another go at this Colin
  15. Will meet you at start near Barmill Colin
  16. Would probably join main bunch for Darryl's idea this Sunday. Colin
  17. Good run today 74 miles by the time I got back to Bishopton. Especially the last 'farmwatch' section. Just as well Paul was there as I hadn't read the route and didn't have a clue where I was going. Probably won't make the Don Smith next week - family wedding. Have a good run all Colin
  18. Aiming to rendezvous with 9 30 bunch coming through Bishopton as per my routine pre Reliability runs. Will give you a shout Martin if I see you at Red Smiddie Colin
  19. Enjoyed the run today. Surprised we held off the fast bunch with the mechanicals and punctures but thought we were working well as a group and kept a steady pace. Looking forward to next week lest's hope the weather is just as kind Colin
  20. Will be out with the 9 30 group Colin
  21. Missed all the fun today after slipping on my arse this morning trying to get down to the main road. Managed to head out for a quick blast in the afternoon after the ice had melted. Looking forward to getting out next week Colin
