  1. Fine idea Greg. One problem though, you lost me at the 2nd roundabout!!!!!
  2. Mark, I haven't seen Ben's post as yet but if a new roundabout is to be put in place I don't think there is a thing that can be done. I don't think such matters fall under the usual Planning regs, but will stand corrected. Even if such works do fall under the Planning regs we may have missed the boat in terms of an appeal and an appeal on the grounds it would screw up the JWCC Tuesday night TT wouldn't stand the proverbial snowball's chance. Chances are the roundabout has be imposed on the developer as part of their planning application and it is therefore highly unlikely the council would go back on something they in all likelihood insisted on. 3. Won't be out tonight gentlemen. Shoulder is becoming increasingly troublesome after my tumble at the weekend. I think I need to give it a few days rest before the weekend's Ayrshire ton. Paul, I should be fine for Sunday. Any change I'll let yoyu know well in advance. Cheers Mark
  4. No worries Paul. Speak to you on Thursday. Mark
  5. Cheers to Mr Christie for timekeeping duties. I sure some boffin somewhere has or is developing a TT timekeeper's 'app' for a smartfone. Quite a good night albeit the not inconsiderable breeze couldn't make up its mind which direction it was coming from. Good effort all round from those who turned out. Will be back for more of the same next week. Cheers Mark
  6. I'll be out unless forecasted rain is of the horizontal variety. Light drizzle would be acceptable. M
  7. Paul, If you are happy to drive that fine. I stay at the eastern fringe of kilbirnie. Can meet you at the crossroads junction at the bottom of the hill as you come into the town from Lochwinnoch. I'll wait on right hand side of the road - best side of junction to park on and swing car around. If you go past Tescos you have gone to far. Let me know what time and I'll be there. Cheers Mark
  8. Guys, Murray is now officially oot! 20 degrees on Sunday nobody in their right mind is gonna sit in doors unless they were racing on Sat and miss our 2 day summer. Don't mind rolling with whatever group will be there at 9 unless taken out by #13 bus. See y'all on Sunday morning. Bring your sun block!!!! M
  9. Good man Lindsay. However, don't believe a word the fraud Billy says. It doesn't get easier , just faster!!!!!!! or so it seems. Evil WAA HA HA smiley (if there was one) M
  10. Paul, Are you still intending riding this one? If so, could we perhaps sort out transport assuming you haven't already done so. I'd be happy to drive but don't have carrier or racks. Can fit 2 bikes in back of car no problem. Let me know your thoughts Mark

    sunday. what gives?

I'll be out not, too bothered about route. 50+ miles sounds good to me. Say 9.00 at the clubrooms, can decide on route then unless you have one in mind George. Mark O
  12. Anyone fancy a run out this evening. Nothing of particular note 30-40 miles at a steady pace in and around Renfrewshire starting/finishing near or on track . Happy to meet up anywhere between Morrisons and the Garnock Valley. Intend to head out half 6/7 o'clock, do a couple of hours and home before lighting up time. Anyone interested? M
  13. Brill day "spinning in the rain". Even the farce at the coffee stop couldn't put the dampeners on the day. Got it dry along the track on way home, honest. JD must have looking down on the bunch laughing his head off. A smashing turn out by the Joansin resplendant in blue and yellow on a Scottish summer's day must have been some sight. Proud to have been part of it. Fine tribute to Jim. Everyone out today chapeau. Mark O

    Clothing order

A well deserved vote of thanks to Jan for dealing with the kit order and all that entails. Well done Jan. Applauding banana smiley if there was one! M
  15. Ramsay/Paul, Davie B and I are meeting at Paddockholm 07.45 Sunday morning. Can meet up you 2 and any others at entrance to semple loch car park 8 bells. Cheers Mark
  16. Me too, subject to usual caveats.
  17. Cracking evening for it, even though my only good lung gave out for a bit between Kilmacolm and BofW. "Chain came off" Billy Mac. Time to change from the unreliable italian stuff to quality Jap workmanship More of the same next week M

    Clothing order

Jan, Sounds good to me. See you then with cash!! Mark
  19. 8.30 at the clubrooms suit me. Davie 07.45 at paddockholm? Can discuss this evening. Should be out to play or more likely hang onto a wheel tonight (Thurs). 18.00, usual place. Mark

    Clothing order

Just a thot as an add on to Paul's earlier post. What chance of designating an evening this week to dish out the clothing order perhaps at the clubrooms. Would be a fitting to have as many as possible in new pristine club colours on Sunday. I'd be more than happy to give up some time to assist handing kit out. Cheers Mark
  21. Paul, I'm a strong doubt for tonight. Been incubating a summer (ha ha) head cold for last day and a bit. Don't think a soaking tonight will do me any good. Hoping to be shot of it for Sunday JD memorial. Mark
  22. Sounds a great day out, Tony. Count me in. Mark
  23. Good man, David. See you then
  24. Anyone coming out to play tomorrow? Suggesting foray into Ayrshire, possibly Troon or Prestwick. Route would be as per the Moscow reliability run as far as Stewarton, then heading for Kilmaurs Crosshouse, Dundonald then the coast. Cake stop if desired return via Irvine Kilwinning and part of Barrmill circuit and track to Johnstone. I see the 30 milers propose to depart 9.15 no reason why not same time for main bunch. Any takers Mark
  25. Barring unforeseen circumstances I'll be along. DavieB/Ritchie/any other Garnocksider can meet you guys on the track at Paddockholm around 6. Mark
