  1. I have managed to lose a SRAM Rival rear mech jockey wheel bolt. Doesn't seem to be something you can buy as a spare. Anyone got a spare one?

    NIGHT OOT.

Excellent idea! Allows all groups to meet up. I will, of course, be representing the over 60s as a fine example that age is no barrier to exemplary performance on a bike!
  3. Over to the Dark Side! Glen Fruin with cafe stop in Balloch. About 62 miles club to club at moderate pace. 9:00 am Miller Street. Who's in? ROUTE - see attached file
  4. Ritchie, We were late getting away cos I got a puncture at the clubroom.
  5. I am looking for 50 too but at brisk pace. Will be at club room 9:00.

    Spied a Wheeler

John S (looked like him) hiding in the Fullarton bunch that we saw on Long Drive coming back from Troon.
  7. Combined 30 milers and intermediates bunch (about 16?) set off from Miller St. At the crossroads at Hall the Troon bunch comprising me, Emma, Alan F, Ross, David C, Graham and Len went on ahead and picked up Chung at Stewarton. There was no sign of Ritchie! A brisk dry run to Troon with a cafe stop at the Blueberry. A brief shower had us huddling in the doorway until it passed (rule no 5 was not enforced!) Not so lucky later on. As we were passing the MOD depot it started to rain hard and the roads were flooded in places. A good run nevertheless and I hope those who had further to go survived the downpour!!
  8. Ross/David, Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
  9. OK Ritchie. Billy - not enough miles in the legs to keep up with the main bunch these days. Should have mentioned 9:00 from club rooms.
  10. about 70 miles miles from club to club at a steady pace. Usual route: lugton - stewarton-kilmaurs crosshouse- bluebery cafe in troon. Back via Long Drive (Irvine) - Kilwinning - Route 7 - Bowfield. Same as March 22nd. (see my Strava entry) RSVP
  11. Hi, Chung, Your list of participants only adds up to 7. You forgot Robbie - should have checked he photo!!
  12. A really good run. 97 miles - my longest ride for a long time. Last 15 miles a bit of a struggle. Thanks guys for being patient with me on the climbs and special thanks to Chung for dropping back several times to give me his wheel and Ian C for the tow along the Georgetown Road. Ian/Chung - going to post up the photo?
  13. As Martin has pulled outI wont bother going to Miller STreet. I will cut through Kilbarchan and be at Houiston roundabout 9:10
  14. I'll tag along. Anyone leaving from Miller st 09:00 or should I just head straight for the bridge?
  15. Lovely weather here! 23 - 26 C with clear blue sky. Some steep climbs here that are murder in the heat! Rented a Corratec CCT Carbon for 3 days - very nice bike.
  16. Struggled a bit today having picked up a throat bug in Belgium during the week. Tagged onto Bill and Boyd at Dalry and trundled back to Lochwinnoch. It was like Last of the Summer Wine on wheels!! Glad I did the full run - had to lie down in a darkened room for an hour when I got home. Feeling better now after a few recovery drinks of real ale in the Brown Bull!! Won't be be out next two Sundays as I will be sunning meself in Malta!!

  20. I have 40 mile round trip to/from ferry so will do route two. Are we getting 09:30 ferry? Having four routes I think numbers will spread thinly over them.
