Genuinely tempted, http://www.discountc...id=42&proid=581

Mark, I understood the reliability tests to be exactly that, a chance to test any changes to your machine made over the winter month's. Its a throwback to the days when a clubman had just one bike. (What a nightmare!) I think it was a chance to fine tune any new components or adjustment's to contact points for the season ahead. Your right though, its more of a gauge of fitness nowadays. Nevertheless, a good tradition that I hope endures.

Jody, No need to spend that much on lighting. I have one of these 900 lumen! which I paid considerably more for btw; http://www.ebuyer.co...ike-light-mj808 I use it for commuting on unlit roads. It performs admirably, in fact on full beam I get flashed by oncoming drivers, best to have it slightly pointing downwards. Alot of MTB types swear by them too. Magicshine, all the light you'll need.

George; http://www.probikekit.com/uk/northwave-blade-cycling-body.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=google_base_gbp&gclid=CNb2142Vz7QCFW3MtAodRxEAVA Im not being cheeky but the sizing of Northwave kit is tiny its Italian, a large jacket is more of a medium in real word sizes, free postage too. Perhaps worth a punt. The Endura kit can take a while to arrive, Id deffo advise trying for size before you buy too. Anyway, I though we were getting an updated kit/supplier? Assos also make the chronosuit white top, black shorts.

Stuart, sent you a message. Glad to help if I can.

To muddy the waters further but nevertheless pertinent, effective and actual top tube measurements are not the same. The actual measurement isnt given. Best practice is to stand over the bike and see what the reach is like, particularly if you fall between the 54 and 56.Its the difference between being really comfortable and enjoying riding a bike and being stuck on something that doesnt fit.
-
Alan, to confuse things further. Even though you find the 56 small your quite a rangy chap. Your all arms and legs for want of a better expression. I remember having a shot of your X bike which, I think, is a large Planet X Uncle John. Shoot me down if Im wrong. Im 5'11 but found it too big both seat tube and top tube. I found the 56 Pre Cursa to be just about bang on. Its all subjective of course and down to personal preference. Just saying.
