  2. 50 miler for me entry form winging its way electronically.
  3. i could be available to be heater upper ,assuming ferries from millport don't become storm bound, and leave us abandoned on the cumbrie , as has happened in the past. keys from john's shop could be collected about twelve o'clock,, and loop de loop ready for arrival of the flying nineoclockers.. any other volunteers please post.

  5. soup now in situ, choice of two apart from take it or leave it....potato and leek or lentil and carrot...sorry nae krootins. For switcher onner, keys back at john's shop and can be collected any time after 11.00 hrs sun.. if earlier is required, call me for his mob no.will be oot with the nine o'clock bunch..

  7. no wearing out of cleats today,stayed on mount all of the forty four miles(includes to and from house), except for soup dismount, soup incidently was fab kenny , if you were to provide that every week i would gladly cut down the shout for cafe stops! another great run and a great bunch , but nothing new it always is, thanks kenny for the sheep dog dog role, thanks all,, roll on the 10th.. big well done to the big yellow man on the big yellow bike with the one wee jammed cog!

  9. sorry very late in, caused very late up and missed 9.00ers, good sat spin with jim d who was heading further into ayrshire, i peeled off at industrial estate to do a wee lap.....2 1/2 laps later still looking for exit returned via lochwinnoch cafe ..today managed run to gourockand back with scheduled stop at esplanade cafe,,, whit a life ! . included a couple of hills kenny ..the downwards ones, ie, last sunday's false summits in reverse ....much better view of the smoke over the port. hope you all had a good one. perhaps there may be a niche for a cafe bunch ?.

  11. kenny, jim d has an advert for companionship on sat 26th about nineish from bulls, may join him for slightly earlier finish time,, depending on number of hours sleep fri night,
  12. jim, if you mean sat 26th i may manage in the absence of a later start with kenny's beginners. but not sure about nae cafe stop.

  14. great day out again,bunch really good to be with , never has cycling been so enjoyable , thanks lads just for the record ken mac and i carried on for many miles more (well not that many) and invented a cafe stop at john's bikes.! the only thing missing from the earlier part of the run should manage next week ..ok.
  15. good plan for sunday kenny..if weather too bad, will bring my rollers to club where i will request the assistance of at least four strong men or women to haud me up. .tried in garage ..... freezer door may never be the same again no injuries.
  16. picked them up from john's earlier today, looked at box and thought their hellishly narrow i'll never stay on them, then discovered they had to be assembled...still awfy narrow.. now in garage and have left bikes on wall with rollers on floor to see what developes! will try out wed pm but not wearing crash test dummy top in case it gets damaged.

  18. yep steve, but i've been told good days could be just as bad.. but once i get the hang of (or off ) them and adjusted the height of my beer tablelegs it shouldny be so bad !! can rollers be used with stabilsers.? a good and successful new year to you.

  20. don't feel so bad now knowing i wasn't alone backing off from this morns splash around... took one look at eight and thought what a pi####. another week missed.. will be turning the pedals.... monday 14.00 hrs for 20/30 miles...anyone interested ? form river inn..back road to kilmacolm via golf course.. to poss lochwinnoch, weather permitting,or may cut off torr rd at bridge of weir, then brookfield, linwood and return houston.

  23. { by the time i rose} passed a tired looking ken mac heading back home as i headed out, 13.00 hrs.. weather started off badly and gradually got worse, your trip seemed a tad more testing than mine as i bailed oot at 22 miles. without cafe stop.,!! but weather certainly makes you work that bit harder just trying to get home , sun,rain, sleet, and hale all in the space of thirty mins.several times over,,great test for new w/proof jacket..it works! will def be out next sun regards and good new year to all..

  25. yup another good outing, young greig flying and thinking of change of bike.... where will it end ? no catching him then..... our leading men on sunday were as usual, excellent, thanks guys, have a good new year.. will be out a week on sunday def,if not this sun. to answer earlier point re deisel and spewing lorries, if you spot any vehicle spilling any substance onto the road, you are well within your rights to report the matter with veh reg if pos to any polce officer or police office.. action can be taken against the operator or driver you may find as i did ,when doing ribs on deisel , polis may not be awffy interested and even at that took three days to arrange grit to be spread by cooncil { that was reporting direct to ex colleagues} whit hope is there? all the best..
