Well done guys. Keep up the hard work Colin
  4. Martin, All being well I should be there with the wee one in tow. Have you thought about photographs of all the events. Would be good for the web site and if decent enough the club could offer them for sale via Paypal (copyright watermarked until reciept of funds and the file/s could be emailed). I know a lot of our guys like to see how they look in lycra and are willing to pay for the privalage Colin
  5. Now reduced to £4500 If bought before Tax and MOT are carried out then £4300 Please pass the message on if you know someone who could be interested. Colin
  6. And so to the Vuelta (how gutted am I that the Father in Law is in Benidorm for the opening stage . Have requested copious photographs ) Predictions required by 23.59 Friday 19th August as usual for: Top 3 GC Top 3 Points Top 3 Climbers Overall Team Individual Stage predictions required by 23.59 the day before each stage: Stage 1 TTT Sat 20th August Stage 10 ITT Mon 29th August Stage 21 final day sprint Sun 11th September Additional categories: No of stages for Cav Wiggins overall position Colin
  7. Bit late in updating the results for this one Winner of the Eneco Tour Predictions Comp - Ramsay with 29 points (full marks for the GC ) 2nd Alan with 26 3rd Kenny with 19 This one has shaken up the table a wee bit however Richie remains out front and may have built an unbeatable lead if his form continues into the Vuelta Duncan however has come into a rich vein of form and is chasing hard So to the table then: 1st Richie 279 points 2nd Duncan 255 points (up 1 place) 3rd Paul 252 points (down 1 place) 4th Richard 241 points 5th Jann 235 points (up 1 place) 6th Me 232 points (down 1 place) 7th Ramsay 203 points (up 1 place) 8th Billy 196 points (down 1 place) 9th Alan 187 points (up 1 place) 10th Tom 168 points (down 1 place) 11th Greig 159 points 12th Kenny 155 points (up 1 place) 13th Davie 150 pints (down 1 place and seems to have climbed into the broom wagon ) Categories for the Vuelta which starts Saturday (I have double checked ) will be announced shortly. Colin
  8. Next up - Vuelta - starts Saturday 20th August. Categories for predictions tba. Colin
  9. Ooooofffffftttttt.....this all sounds so difficult and scary
  10. Well that wasn't too hard...... We all sucked For the first race this year no-one scored any points at all Given the numbers that missed the team classification, and the fact that it was my boob in the first place the decision has been taken to scrap any points for this prediction (looks like I may be doing myself out of 10 points as well ) Colin
  11. Tom, You have given me a problem now haven't you ???? First off the easy one - you are not the only one to have missed the deadline for the team prediction so I'm affraid your score for this will be 0 points. Secondly the overall - again you are not the only one to have missed the deadline and in previous races others have suffered a lack of points due to this. Only fair that your points for the overall will also be 0. Points for ITT will be awarded in full as you have submitted them in time. Hope this is seen by all to be fair. Colin
  12. Billy, You could still earn some points for the ITT. Kenny, Don't think Martin is riding this race. Might be wrong though. Colin
  13. Eneco ITT: 1st David Millar 2nd Taylor Phinney 3rd Edvald Bossan Hagen If this comes off and my theory that the overall result shouldn't be too different, I stand to score some big points Colin
  14. Right, I'm getting really p***ed off with this login in now. 3rd attempt as I was logged in and when clicked "submit" it lost the message and asked for my login again Anyway, Duncan wins the day with 16 points and moved ahead of Richard (who scored 0) into 3rd place. Overall: 1st Richie 262 points 2nd Paul 246 points 3rd Duncan 239 points (up 1 place) 4th Richard 229 points 5th Me 226 points 6th Jann 219 points 7th Billy 196 points (no entry) 8th Ramsay 173 points 9th Tom 168 points (no entry) 10th Alan 161 points 11th Greig 153 points (no entry) 12th Davie 150 points (no entry) 13th Kenny 136 points (no entry) For those who have yet to submit their overall predictions you have until 1000 tomorrow morning. A 5 point penalty will be applied to your scores for the overall top 3 due to the nature of this race and the probability that the results won't be too different from todays. Them's the breaks Colin
  15. Duncan, Have tried several times toreply to your PMonly for message to be lost when it asks me to log in (and I already am ) Colin
  16. All, Predictions for Eneco required by 1500 today, not 18th August as stated in original posting (my error, ably pointed out by Duncan ) Note: Team prediction added as a bonus points item so those who have already submitted choices without inclusion of team award please edit your posting (if people miss this message then category will be deleted) Sorry for any confusion Colin
  17. Eneco predictions: Overall - 1st David Millar 2nd Taylor Phinney 3rd Edvald Bossan Hagen Points - 1st Kenny Van Hummel 2nd Edvald Bossan Hagen 3rd Mark Renshaw ITT Day 1 - 1st David Millar 2nd Taylor Phinney 3rd Geraint Thomas Team Overall - SKY Note: 2nd ITT is not on last day as previous post but is actually stage 4(?). Colin
  18. Alan, Think I found the same site as you. Some of the minor teams had named riders but it looked like the Tour teams still had to submit their line UPS. As for predictions: Top 3 overall Top 3 points Top 3 day 1 ITT (Don't think there is a climbers classification at the Eneco???? If there is it will be top 3) The day before the last stage you will need the top 3 in the ITT as well. Colin
  19. Jann, Well spotted. TBH I can't quite believe you results either lol Points now added. Colin
  20. Gilbert Barredo Van Avermart Colin
  21. Even as a big Gilbert fan I find it difficult not to be sceptical Still todays result means our overall looks like this: 1st Richie 260 points (12 for PG 1st) 2nd Paul 244 points 3rd Richard 229 points 4th Duncan 223 points (up 1 place) 5th Me 222 points (down 1 place) 6th Jann 217 points (12 for PG 1st) 7th Billy 196 points 8th Ramsay 171 points 9th Tom 168 points (no entry) 10th Alan 159 points (12 for PG & up 1 place) 11th Greig 153 points (12 for PG & up 2 places) 12th Davie 150 points (no entry & down 2 places) 13th Kenny 136 points Colin
  22. Additional event to our calendar..... Enco Tour 18th August. Gives us something to think about before the Vuelta. Colin
  23. Vuelta Update: Looks like Contador and the Schlecks will not be racing Spains national tour . Should make for an interesting race and some interesting predictions BTW it would also appear that Wiggins is now targeting Vuelta glory Just to giving you all something to think about Colin (I love these smiley things )
  24. Billy, As an engineer I will take function over form anytime Is that 11th cog designed to stop the chain falling off????????? Colin
