  1. Always has been the case that you get 2 points for each rider in the top 3 regardless of placing. No need for appology, just don't let it happen again or I will doc you points lol. Colin
  2. Jann, Still not sure what you mean but let me try to clarify: Both Kenny and I predicted Wiggins and Martin in the top 3 however did not get the placings correct. As a result we score 4 points each (that would be 2 for each rider) and in my case moves me from 246 points to 250 points (1 ahead of you and Richard ). Hope this helps. Colin
  3. More specific please Jann Colin
  4. Seems to have been a fault Ramsay . Same with my messages from yesterday however they have since reappeared (before I got stick for not updating the predictions table I may add ) Colin

    Photo's

Photo's of the Sam Dooley Memorial 25TT from Sunday now in main Gallery section I have also uploaded my favourite images from the Scottish Crit Championships from all races. I would note that the uploading software has cropped some images more than I would have liked Anybody who wants copies of the originals, PM me with your email details and I will send the full size image/s. Enjoy. Colin

    Training Group

Billy, Sounds like a plan If circumstances and time allow I would be up for this to assist my battle back to fitness and to lose some excess baggage Point of note though: for level 1/2 rides to have the desired endurance effect you need to clock up a number of miles/hours per week. Maybe not entirely possible on cold, dark winter nights unless you are a turbo junkie (as I know you are ). Would probably be benifical for most to do some slightly higher intensity intervals through the week with a long ride/s at the weekend. Circuit training also used to be a fundemental training platform through the winter months and we have the equipment in the clubhouse and should utilise it. I know Katrina used to take a circuit session once a week and maybe some guidance from her would be good. I think a lot of people would gain great benefits from some solid upper body/core work (including myself ) I have been thinking a bit aout winter training myself recently and have a circuit selected that would be good for building speed nearer the season and for something a bit different beforehand. Fully lit with good surfaces and in a relatively quiet area (at least when its cold and dark). It does benifit my interest however that it is at the end of my street However perhaps somebody else is aware of a suitable circuit that could offer the same (industrial estates are usually pretty good if you avoid the security guards Just a couple of thoughts. Colin
  12. Cat 4 Support Race Photies now on Gallery section of main Wheelers web page thanks to the guidance of Mr Steele Hope the wait was worth it Colin
  13. So Cav has chucked it Never mind. Just means no additional bonus points for anyone (not even Richard who could also have predicted that he wouldn't finish ) As for the points classification, Ramsay is the only one not to have selected Cav in any of the top 3 places. Bet your feeling really smug about that one big man Colin
  14. Some of you lot are giving me real trouble Mr McGinty - get yersel a spray tan man.......you reflect more light than the moon Seriously though, support race pics are now ready but I can't upload them from work, so all you vein people will have to wait till I get home Colin
  15. Greig, I have a not inconsiderale amount of photos of which I'am working my way through, selecting the ones that can be used and editing where required. I will be passing the disc/s to Kenny later this week so that he may upload to the site. Just be patient Colin
  16. If Carlsberg did cycling events........... They still wouldn't be as good as yetsredays . Big congrats to all involved in the organisation and running . Colin
  17. Liquigas grrrrrrrrrr. 1st today : Me with 14 points 2nd Richie 11 points. Joint 3rd Billy & Tom 6 points. Overall table: 1st Richie 290 points 2nd Duncan 257 points 3rd Paul 256 points 4th Me 246 points (up 2 places) 5th Richard 245 points (down 1 place) 6th Jann 237 points (down 1 place) 7th Ramsay 205 points 8th Billy 202 points 9th Alan 191 points 10th Tom 174 points 11th Greig 159 points (no entry yet. Enter by 10am tomorrow and 5 points off GC) 12th Kenny 157 points 13th Davie 152 points Colin
  18. Davie, Welcome back. Both your guys are riding at this time (you never know what can happen on the way to the start line). You didn't really need to carry out an experiment......the rest of us had already figured out Mr C was useless at this Duncan, Can you clarify if Alan wants to change his points selection. Maybe I'm being dumb but can't figure out your note re Hushovd/Phinney Colin
  19. Hmmmmmmmmmm. And Scarponi, Nibali and Cav have raced in anger how many times since the tour????? Tempting as it is to side with Kenny I won't deduct 25 points but can't think of a fair way to let you away with this Richard (unless you predict the exact stage he packs on ). Afraid we need a placing Richard, so get on with it and stop Colin
  20. Before I submit my choices a couple of observations: Billy/Tom/Alan - You have not selected a team for the overall . Billy/Tom - I'am taking it that your team 1,2,3 choices are for the TTT?????? Richard - Wiggins DNF......sorry mate need a placing. Too easy to say DNF as the chances are higher for that than an accurate placing I will give those required to ammend their choices to 12pm tomorrow after which you can select but will be deducted 5 points from your overall So to my predictions: GC: 1st Igor Anton (Euskaltel) 2nd Brajokvic (Radioshak) 3rd Nibali (Liquigas) Mountains: 1st Dan Martin (Garmin) 2nd Igor Anton (Euskaltel) 3rd Brajokvic (Radioshak) Points: 1st Cavendish (HTC) 2nd Farrar (Garmin) 3rd Chavanel (Quickstep) Team: Movistar TTT: 1st Leopard Trek 2nd HTC 3rd BMC Cav Wins - 4 Wiggins - 5th Colin
  21. Horrace plays Ice Hockey.......that makes him a winner in my book . Unless of course Paisley lass looks like Jennifer Anniston. If that is the case I will be changing toot suite Colin
  22. Ben, I feel your pain man Been out since April when my back locked up completely and I was in severe pain resulting in 4 weeks off work as well. Maybe a bit far out of your way but I use: Bridge of Weir Chiropractic Clinic Castle Terrace Bridge of Weir Guys name is Horrace London and he is a couple of quid cheaper than the lass in Paisley (I do wonder how she copes given that after a session with me Horrace looks as if he has had a good workout ) I first went there a couple of years ago after recomendation from Kenny McDonald (none better than the honorary club president I thought). I suppose that unless you try a few out you are always going to think the guy you are seeing is the best. Most of all don't be tempted to push it and come back too soon. There can't be that many proper objectives left for this year and you could end up extending your required time off the bike despite Mr Macs best attempts to wind you up (been there done that ) Colin
  23. Richie, Looks like Gilbert was saving himself for the Belgian national TT the following day Colin
  24. Can certainaly bring me camera along. Might be able to persuade a mate and former member of the club to come as well to try and get as much coverage as possible. Unfortunately my skills are not good enough and no amount of editing on Photoshop (or other such software) will make most of our guys look good in lycra Colin
  25. If this level of coverage was to continue I might even consider cancelling my SKY subscription Alan, if you notice my spelling mistake in the results table it might help to explain Davies new found status of Lantern Rouge Colin
