Just read that Eileen has won another Olympic medal in the tandem pursuit at the Paralympics. Congratulations to Eileen, who many of you will remember is a past member of JWCC. I have fond memories of some of the runs when she and Denis (White) turned out on the tandem. Chapeau!

Hi folks im having a bit of a clear out of old cycling parts. Iβll be posting stuff up here as the clear out progresses. If you need parts for a winter bike/hack I may have something you need. Iβve wheels, tyres, cassettes, chain sets, loads f saddles, loads of bars and stems etc. First up is a trio of frames suitable for a winter bike/hack build. 1. Small (fit up to 5β8 ish) Ridley Triton alloy frame. Super light, takes guards (can be supplied). Robbie used it for a couple of years and loved it. Builds very light. Β£60 2. Cannondale CAD 8 alloy frame. Medium (54 t-t). Suit rider 5β 9 to 6 foot. Takes guards. Needs new screws for bottle cages. Rob rode this for a few months before getting a new bike. Can supply all parts to build into a nice winter bike. Β£60. 3. Kenesis alloy frame (55 t-t) suit rider 5β8 to 6ft. Comes with campag brakes, chainset (needs new rings) front changer, bars, seat post, choice of saddles, guards and rack. Β£95.

Sunday 4th July
Darryl Gunson replied to Darryl Gunson's topic in Sunday Run - Faster / Longer Bunch
Good wee group of 30 milers, intermediates and main bunchers set off from Miller St. for a few gentle hours around Barmill, Beith, Lochwinnoch, and Kilmalcolm. Think we delivered on the three Cβs- cake, coffee, and chat. We did get a wee bit wet, and I think a few folks turned off early (Frank? David?) but the cafe in Kilmalcolm was super - good shout @Ianarchibald. Had a good chat with the Glasgow United boys, and bumped into JWCC legend Katrina Hair. All in all another good day on the bike. Cheers π» -
