  3. Make sure all your lights are at the right height and adjusted to the correct angle for maximum visibility. Remember you want the light to make an impact (!) on someone sitting in a car...
  4. Just thought I'd bring this post to the top again, lest it get buried beneath discussions about our new signing
  5. I suppose it shouldn't be such a suprise that you can get so excited by the numbers Ian...
  6. A question of such magnitude needs to be put before the club at the AGM. You might have won 3 races, but that might not clinch it, we're quite fussy who we take...
  7. If the GRC won't have you, what makes ya think we will?
  8. Not half as impressive as your new atavar
  9. Great weekend - thanks to all... Best start planning for the next one.. cheers Darryl

  17. Just a reminder that the Arran trip is nearly upon us - a week on Saturday (Sat 1/10 -Sun). As above, the more the merrier. For those who I've pre-booked and paid for beds, I'll collect the money on the weekend. cheers Darryl
  18. Sarah, all being well I'll be there, but just in case one of the kids swallows a sprocket or something don't count me in for catering purposes. I'll have eaten anyway Darryl
  19. If anyone has results for this event, can they please ring Colin Shields (of The Herald - 0141 571 9243) with 1, 2, 3 ladies, juniors and vets if applicable. thanks Darryl
  20. Hi Simon I think this is a good suggestion except that the club hill climb is in Howood, not Gourock Seriously though, had I realised that my original request to the committee would have caused such a fuss, i wouldn't have bothered. So, despite the fact that the committee did vote on the matter and did agree to change the date of the hill climb, I wish to state that I will not object if it is run on the 1st Oct after all. As you say Simon, of those 11 going to Arran, some may wish to ride the hill climb and then ride down to the ferry. cheers ttfn Darryl
  21. Great move Sarah. Lots of the top riders head for Australia at the end of the season keep us all posted good luck Darryl
  22. Given that the JWCC 25 TT is on Sunday 25th Sept. and that there will be plenty of club members around that weekend for this event - either riding or marshalling - it seems to me the the 24th for the Hill Climb should be ok. Pete would be able to ride and hopefully others will still have some "summer form" for the event. It is also still early enough before the hill walking season starts:grin: I agree that pushing the event too far into Autumn might deter riders as well. cheers Darryl
