  4. what a great day out. My first outing on the bike in months - think the erskine Hosp run was the last time I was allowed out on the roads. Thanks to all for encouragement, and to the map readers who refused to do the "girly" thing and ask for directions. Not been an many of those roads before - but then I don't think anyone had been on some of them since the days of horse drawn carriages. Might clean the bike before the next run - when is the erskine ride this year ?

  6. I'm selling my 1997 Honda Accord estate. Tax till end July MOT Aug I've had this car for nearly 9 years and it has never missed a beat. Can take 4 bikes on the roof and another 3 on a rear carrier. Huge boot and if you put the back seats down just about anything will fit in. 130,000 miles on the clock but with Honda reliability its good for a long time yet. Elec widnows front and back, elec mirrors, elec drivers seat, CD player etc etc etc No rust other than a stone chip on the bonnet, minor scuffs / supermarket trolley marks at the corners but overall very good condition. £600 pm for more details or to view.

  21. just to echo Kenny's posting This will be a great night out! in fact its been the highllight of my cycling calendar for the last 4 years. Best bits include: becoming the surprise part owner of a a world champs jersey - sadly haven't seen it since and can't even remember what it looks like (Dougie - remember him? has more details) visiting Asda at 2.00am and watching Marko buying roast chicken wondering what happened to my front tooth watching people bid for the trip of a lifetime (not asda) listening to Marko's tales of keyboards (ask him when you go) Meeting the Bunch on Sunday morning as we drove home full breakfast at the at the holiday inn express. Sadly I'm already booked for another event this year so won't be there. Have already booked next year though. Get to work now, buy some flowers, take the kids to the pictures, take them breakfast in bed (before you head of on the sunday run), offer to do the shopping / collect mother in law etc etc Just make sure you have some Brownie pints in the bag.
