    Brian's Coaching

Alan, On reflection I would probably concede that you came off worse than I did. The only measurement which was right for me was the size of the frame so at least my corrective actions are not likely to involve vast amounts of greenbacks. Look forward to the next session where apparently my black pudding supper (that I consumed on Friday night) is due to fall into the "AVOID" category - i do not belive it

    Brian's Coaching

Just like to thank Brian for his time, enthusiasm and the manner in which he dealt with his audience of largely novices. Despite being the comfortable (!) winner of the worst set up award at least I have a chance to get it right before the racing season starts. And Ive started already Would strongly encourage every member to go to the next sessions and I'm sure that those who do will pick up some useful advice. I for one very much enjoyed Fridays session.

    Coaching

Brian, thanks for giving up your time to help. Kenny, well done on your efforts to organise this type of thing. I will be along on Friday at 6.45. Whilst I dont have specific questions, like a number of other JWCC members, I am new to the sport and maybe generally a view of training programmes and target setting for a first year competitor in TT, APR and RR may have a wider appeal,,,,, only my view.
  4. Just like to add my brief sentiments as well, Dougie,, canny read a timetable but what a place you picked mate and for retrieving at least half my specs ,, many thanks. And 43mph doon the Ross Rd,,,,,,,,,,, yah nutter. Scott,, you seemed hesitant to recommend the eatery on Sat night but it was ace. Stevie, thanks for not snoring though quite how you managed it i dont know. Martin, thanks for the transport to Ardrossan and back, much appreciated. To the other peloton members well done on a great club event particularly Darryl who could doubtless have completed the planned Sunday run himself and still beat everyome back but who opted to stay with the rest of the group. Brilliant weekend, great company, testing rides.
  5. Kenny, I would like to be considered (as Mr Brogan has so eloquently stated) for participation in this event. Why?? because I think you already have more than 8 volunteers and I just love to see my teamates coping with the adversity of tough decision making !!!! Isnt it character building
  6. Kenny, Can you put me down for 2 tickets as well please.
  7. If that is the consensus then BiH at 9.30 it is. Does that mean we wont cycle round the island or are you thinking of an early early start on Sunday ??
  8. Dougie, There is a reasonably good train connection via Paisley and Johnstone to the Ardrossan ferry terminal. Dont have the timetable with me but imho a better option than taking cars and I would like a pedal round the 9island on Saturday coz I may not be too fit on Sunday !!!!!
  9. Dougie, I am going on hols from 11-18 October inclusive and whilst I am ok to go the Arran trip I would have to square up money wise nearer the time,,, hope this is ok. Anyone know any good runs 40-50 miles round Benidorm ??
  10. Dougie, Sat 25th October has been approved by the better half, so count me in. BUT, the A machine is retiring for the year so please dont go toooooo fast for my winter steed!!
  11. President McDonald has informed me via a tele-pathetic note that any lettering remotely resembling "retro" would be a breach of etiquette!!!! so there
  12. Light goes on!!!! That explains why Andy had a wee falter 1/2 way round. He was carrying at least 4 full water bottles. No hyper gravity training in a race HerryAss !!
  13. Dougie,, Have managed to negotiate a day release... count me in though i may choose a train option at some point. PS, according to Kenny Mac you are posting billboards exulting your victory,, ah hope ye remember yir team mates ...
