  1. Scott I hope you will turn up on Friday to get the answer to these questions. Brian has a limited time scale due to various commitments. Therefore he wont be answering questions via the bunch on a regular basis . These nights are the platform to ask general questions re training etc. He unfortunately cant get involved in personal coaching and will be doing generic coaching , but will answer individual questions at the forums.
  2. As this is what you have been asking for for some time , I hope to see a good turnout this Friday. Brian is giving up his time and will answer all questions to best of his extremely experienced ability. He will be taking donations to the Braveheart fund on the night so bring a donation and ask a question. I have opened these nights up to general public via SCU website so be early to avoid dissapointment. I will open up at 6:45pm session begins 7:00pm Further dates to be confirmed. Also I have received copies of the Boardman v Obree tv programmes , and will collate into one tape. A film show in aid of Braveheart fund has been requested in near future.

  11. Thank you Jim for the notes on how the Chocolate trophy came about , it is still as keenly contested today as when it was started. Many riders have used it as a stepping stone to time trialing greatness over the years , and it is a welcomed event on the calendar. ps Unfortunately Jim is involved in his own race of truth at present , he is showing all his battling spirit which served him well on the bike. I speak for all members of the club in wishing you well in your continued battle towards good health. Keep well into the left kenny MacDonald

  17. The club will be allocated a maximum of 8 riders for this event next year, if you fancy racing in a national event lets see why you should get a slot. Remember you would be required to ride all events whichwill be spread out from April to September ( none in July) The race is aimed at all abilities , hence it is an APR series and not a road race series. I am throwing my name in the hat as a rider ( health permitting) reason :- I should be included a) I can coach /advise from the bunch its my race c) I deserve a bit of self indulgence every now and then who wants to join me? Send why you should get a slot in race to the bunch
  18. Geez Shazy you certainly have changed since you left Scotland, I would never have recognised you from the fotie How was Niagra, wet Is Hamilton still a miniature Scotland? When I was there they had a Scottish bakers and a butcher who sold square sausage

  21. We have been given an invite to the Glasgow Couriers hillclimb on 2nd. November. This is being held at Uplawmoor and is followed by tea and cakes in Mure Hall. Jim Cusick has specially invited us to repay us for hospitality at our confined,s shown to him and the tri riders. I have accepted on our behalf , therefore the club rum will be to the hillclimb and Mure Hall followed by a run . The climb being used is on the Neilston side of Uplawmoor and goes up through the farms. We have used this climb on our Sunday runs as a shortcut over to Neilston , Dunlop road. Not as steep as our climb but longer. I will ride up the climb ( note not race) and hope others will do likewise in the spirit of friendship. Hope to see a good turnout to support this venture. Kenny MacD ps Darryl MacGunson :- as club hillclimb champion the onus is on you to defend the club honour . I,m sure you will be fully fit and raring to go by then 8) .
